Alot of the Lordsmarch Quest items do that. At least the Malauble and Fuseable ones. I know that I could sell the Vamperic Short Swords of Fury I amde, and I've seen several of these upgraded items on the AH.

It is somwhat of a reversal, normally the items become bound when upgrading not the other way around. They do become Bound on Equip I think.
