Rogue Monk is a nice combo. Could go either staffer, or Ninja Assassin (though admittedly that would be mostly for the name). Anyway.

If you're having 1 or more rogue levels, it's almost always preferable to go rogue at level 1 for the skill points (especially important for UMD).

Brings me to the second point. UMD is a God-skill in this game, and it's wasteful to not have it on a character that could, IMHO. You really should consider maxing it out. It's great even at the non-endgame.

Rogue 14 gives you next to nothing. Swapping that for for example Fighter 1 would give you an extra feat and access to Fighter Toughness I and Tactics: Stunning Blow I enhancements.

I wouldn't take Lightning reflexes at level 1 (or probably not at all). You're probably better off with Toughness or even THF here.

Though not having really played a trapsmith, from what I've heard, Skill Focus:Search is a waste.

I'm sure you're familiar with it, but just in case: anyone thinking about building a stick toon should check out the "Big F'n Stick" thread: http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=158960

Consider the level progression. Simply theorycrafting and looking at the abilities, I think getting Monk 3 early for Fists of Light might be nice, and then rushing Acrobat I ASAP for the huge stick bonuses.

But really, check out the Big F'n Stick thread. I think you'll find everything you need to know there, and if not, The_Phenx is a really helpful guy, so you'd probably be best of asking him for advice instead of listening to me :P

I personally have no problem with spelling errors, but when you name and title your build with one of the most well-known spelling errors, you're just asking for it...

That is true, I guess, although since it's such a common mistake it should also be easy to look past. English is my second language as well, and some words like that are hard to get the hang of. One of my standard pitfalls is mixing up lose and loose.

It's fine as long as it's all in good humour. I reacted mostly to NeuronStar's comment, actually (though it says I posted before him for some reason).

On builds like this that don't have much in the way of self-healing, you'll generally want to pick up a seventh monk level. The call is especially easy in your case because a 14th rogue level doesn't improve your sneak attack (or really much of anything apart from your already-stellar reflex save).

I'd also suggest replacing skill focus (search) with IC bludgeon. You have a plethora of options for increasing your search skill, and would be much better-served by the DPS boost that IC bludgeon would provide, despite the regrettably small crit range for bludgeoning weapons.

You could also consider going light rather than dark. The problem with this approach is that shintao doesn't do much for you, which means you'd likely want to go 17/3 or perhaps 15/3/2 if you wanted a couple of extra fighter feats. It's also worth noting that shadow fade provides some damage mitigation on the front end, indirectly providing some of the self-healing you'd hope to gain by going light.

The other main suggestion I have is to improve INT at the expense of DEX. Nothing in your build suggests you're striving for a meaningful AC in mid to late game content; the rogue skills you're choosing to emphasize are INT-based rather than DEX-based; and you're leaving a fair amount of power on the table by ignoring UMD. I wouldn't go so far as to dump-stat DEX, but you could certainly reduce it by 1-3 points without catastrophic consequences.

On enhancements, there are a fair number you can pare back or scrap entirely, including spot and locks (not needed considering the number of skill points you're pouring into them), sneak attack accuracy (of some use but not worth maxing), and DEX (where I would drop at least the 6-pointer). This would let you improve your haste boost and place greater emphasis on the orcish damage-boosters (and there are several designed to help two-handed fighters like yourself, not just the melee damage line).

    Good luck!

Is it possible that Eberron is just being infiltrated by members of the Scarlet Brotherhood?

    My two cents:

    • Start with rogue at 1st lvl for max skill pts and to unlock rogue skills right away.
    • Rogue 14 adds very little; I would either go monk 7 (Wholeness of Body + Imp Recovery II) or ftr 1 (extra feat & HPs).
    • Lightning Reflexes, Cleave, and SF Search are all weak feats.
    • If you want an AC build, consider bumping up base INT to at least 11 so you can take Combat Expertise.
    • If you're trying to make a DEX-based staff Acrobat, I'd advise against it; there are only a couple of in-game staves which use DEX instead of STR for to-hit & dmg. And the bonus to SA dmg from DEX isn't enough to make up for it. Besides, you're a HO; you should be milking your STR bonuses for all they're worth!

    A Rouge Monk?

    Sounds kind of sexy!

I tried rolling up a Mascara Barbarian once...didn't work as well as I had hoped.
