    Talking Wild Card Weekend!

Saw that a few people here enjoy the old pigskin as much as I do. Just interested in hearing of some thoughts of my fellow DDO-ers on this off-topic since I can't stand the ESPN boards.

Still haven't determined my, errr, "short-term investments" for this weekend yet. Thinking Eagles, Ravens, Saints and Colts at this point.

Looking forward to the games! Have a terrific weekend all!

The colts run defense blows chunks. Last time Manning took the jets apart. Jets better use that run game opportunity to keep Manning off the field using time of posession, because thats the only way Manning will be stopped, heh.

Packers over Eagles. (Yes I am biased)

I'm all Eagles baby. I've got my fingers crossed. They lost their last two games, which they should have absolutely won.

Cheering Seahawks all the way. Just because they are 7-9. Then the Packers. Then anyone but the Bears or Patriots. But of course, I think that a Bear-Patriots Superbowl is all too possible.

Saints should win, but it prob be closer than most people think. But imagine if the sea hawks made it to the super bowl and won it?!! lol I highly doubt it, but it would be funny if a team with a losing record won the super bowl.

    Gratz to the Pack.
You were the better team today.

    Oh well.
    Thanks to da birds anyway.
This season still exceeded my expectations for this year,
BONGO FURY - Ghallanda - Thingfish - Wizard, Diuni - Ninja, Gheale - Angel, Dullknife - Tank, Noodlefish - Gimp, Jaquaby - Treacherous and other gimps.

Seahawks and Pack are still going... That means I have a 50% chance that one of my teams will still make it to the SB!

And on a side not. Isn't it great, that in the playoffs you get to watch every game, and not just a couple

Totally! The games were great except the Ravens 2nd half blowout. I went 1-3 in my awesome predictions to begin this thread. Sticking with my day job, LOL!

Can you imagine if the Pack and Seahawks both win, Seattle will HOST the NFC Championship game. Gotta love it!

That's what I am hoping for. At the same time, it would also suck, because I don't want to cheer against either team

Unfortunately this is the way it works in the NFL. If one team sucks but sucks less than the other teams in their division, they are the leader, and any wildcard team regardless of record has to travel to their city to play.

Packers had to go to atlanta a few years ago even though GB a better record.

Hastlebeck(sp?) has been known to play the good teams better than he plays the statistically poor ones. Same with the Packers this year. Packers can lose to detroit(/barf), then BARELY lose to the Patriots (because a wide receiver failed to look for the ball on one play) - then walk into NY and destroy the giants afterward, then beat the Bears, the division leader.

It is possible though improbable that both teams could win, but hey they are both playing statistically better teams.

The Marshawn Lynch run - amazing! Did you see him throw the defender to the ground halfway through? He looked liked Dwarf tossing around a Kobold.

I'm excited the Ravens won, but I'm not exactly optimistic about them playing Pittsburgh IN Pittsburgh. I don't think they really played well vs KC. KC just flubbed it that badly.

KC is a bad team. I'm glad its Ravens v Pitt. Let them duke it out while Rex Ryan is enjoying being walked on (yes, pun intended).

My call is Pats V Pitts, with the Pats winning at home to face the winners of Falcon V Bears (Falcons win). Pats win it all vs Falcons in Dallas.

Again, hate me all you want, but creating a whole new realm takes priority over a broken bag. This is pretty much true of a few of the other issues that crept in today also.

The Chiefs really showed their inexperience in the second half when things sterted to go badly. Being a Chiefs fan, I hope it pays dividends next year. AFC West will be a lot harder as San Diego and Oakland should be better next year.

Interesting results this weekend, the only really big shock was Seattle winning, the others were either a given (KC/Baltimore) or were pretty even contests.

If there is an upset this week I think it will be Baltimore over Pittsburgh. Green Bay has a pretty good shot against Atlanta as well.
