    Default Pugs and Sayings

I've been pugging alot lately and there seems to be some saying going around that I'm not familiar with.
    Tearing it up Seattle style.

It's not just 1 or 2 pugs saying it so I figured maybe it was some ingame thing going on. Anyone care to share if they know?

When I searched the phrase 'tearing it up Seattle style' in Google, this thread came up as first result. :/

Maybe it's just too early in the morning, but this made me laugh hard. +1, to you, and thanks for the laugh!

I would think they are referring to drinking Starbucks coffee in the rain. Or just totally sucking (like the Seahawks).

I've never heard it, but perhaps its meaning is similar to "pulling a Homer"

As a previous poster alluded to, the Seattle Seahawks recently made the NFL playoffs with a losing record, and are hosting a playoff game. So they succeeded despite sucking.

How were those pugs going that you were in?

Maybe you're just pugging with the same people playing all their different alts.

Or they're stalking you. Now it feels creepy.

    Have a nice day.

One group I was in was getting tore up, just completely beat on and they were saying it. Another completely different group not even of the same guild we were doing all good and it was being said. The 2nd time it happened they just 'snickered' when I asked what it meant. I figured maybe it was some saying on some television show I don't know about since I don't watch tv.

The phrase "Tearing it up Seattle Style" is a little deceptive. Can you give us an example of how it was used in a sentence ?

As far as I have heard... it goes either, "man you are getting torn up Seattle style" or "I(or you) am tearing things up Seattle style"

This thread makes me feel so very very old. I think I'll go take a Geritol and watch an episode of Dukes of Hazzard.

As a Seattle (suburb) resident, I can say with a reasonable degree of certainity that we do not "tear it up" in any way. The people around here tend to be passive to a fault, crappy drivers in the rain (anone else get stuck in huge traffic trying to get across our sinking bridge today?), and generally too self-absorbed to spend time coining new phrases.

Exactly what I was thinking....Seattle is more of a yuppie/hippie type city, I can't imagine them doing anything so....exciting? Not exactly the right word, but you get my point :P Art & culture, being green/vegan, that sorta stuff.
