    Default Question about Rapid Reload

The feat description says this increases the reload speed of crossbows. Does it also affect that of Repeating Crossbows? What increases the firing speed of Repeating Crossbows?

    1. Rapid Reload
    2. Quickdraw
    3. Rapid Shot
    4. Manyshot

Does no one know the answer to this? The wiki wasn't helpful. Does anyone know some other place I could find out?

It functions for all crossbows, even repeaters and is often considered a key part of a repeater build.

    Unless I am mistaken.....

Quick Draw only increases rate of fire with throwing weapons and decreases pause time when activating action boosts and clickies ...not 100% sure about the clickies.

Rapid Reload effects all X-bows including repeaters

Rapid Shot effects all X-Bows including repeaters and DOES stack with Rapid Reload...tho I think they may only stack partially...as in you only get 1 1/2 the speed boost instead of double...something like that.

Manyshot has no effect whatsoever on any kind of X-bow....it only works on long and short bows...altho IMO, I think it should effect throwing weapons as well.

IC:Ranged, Improved Precise Shot, Rapid Reload or Rapid Shot and the Improved Precise Shot pre-req's are probably the bare minimums of what you want for a viable repeater build.

Thank you both very much! I am indeed trying to see if I can piece together a repeater build, and this will help.

They are hard to play effectively but even outside the world of Unicorns they are quite possible to be viable.

The important thing is to have other things to add to the party besides DPS....so you can make up for that some...even still repeater builds can do decent DPS...especially if ur a rogue and close enough to do SA damage with them.

A lot of people make repeater bards...also very viable as Bards can offer a lot besides DPS...and a repeater fighter build can pull it off too as they have so many feats they can invest in both a ranged line of feats and a melee line of feats.

Looking at it from strictly a DPS PoV, yeah repeaters users are hard pressed to do a high amount of DPS.......but I think most repeater builds are specialists anyways.
