    Question Lvl.3 Rog TWF?

Have lvl.3 rog halfling without Two weapon fighting ... So do i have to multiclass to rogue/fighter or rogue/ranger to unlock TWF or ITWF feat? Would it have been better to go first level on fighter to get TWF?

TWF feat has a requiremnt of 15 dex, this is only your base dex + tomes, ITWF and GTWF both require 17 dex in the same way, if you dont have 15 dex naturally you wont be able to pick it

you would of been able to take TWF as a feat at level 3 if you qualified for it. we need to see the build, but a reroll may be in order.

If you've made a rogue without a a 15 dex, you might want to rethink your build.

    Hi there,

You have to manually select TWF feats as you level up. (assuming you did not do a prebuild path). In order to qualify you need a 15 minimum DEX. A minimum 17 DEX is needed to take ITWF and GTWF. This minimum requirement needs to be met with your base stat. Not including items, or enhancements.

Many players start with a 15 dex, and use a +2 tome to qualify. You seem new, so a +2 tome is most likely out of the question.

When I was new, I would have started at 16 dex, taking my first leveling point in dex, and the rest in strength.

If this doesn't help, post more about your build and im sure we can help.

    Good luck!

Like others have mentioned, you need to make sure you meet the dex requirements for the build. However, based on your join date I would suggest that you consider either starting at 16 dex and using a +1 dex tome to reach 17 or put one level up into dex with a +1 tome. Odds are, if you are new then you wont have ready access to +2 tomes that is usually the implicit assumption of base 15 dex. Enhancements to dex dont count towards this reuirement.

Gearing up a rogue just with trap gear on a relatively new account can be expensive enough, but it is necessary so you can fill the role everyone expects of you.

This is just me, but if you are using 28pt builds with little in the way of tome and gear support I would select dwarf as your race and go 16,16,16,10,8,6 chaotic good. This isnt an ideal rogue, but its cheap to build first time, and with the toughness feat and dwarf enhancements should help you be less squishy which is a problem for a lot of new rogues. You wont do as much damage as say a halfling, but it'll be more forgiving on you as you learn the ropes. Also, even though the goal is twf, you may want to use only one weapon in early levels if you are having trouble hitting until buffs, feats, and your gear start to catch up.

10 starting int is terrible for a untwinked rogue. cue up exploding trap boxes...

    For a more successful career:
You can go 14,16,16,14,8,6 and still be able to do TWF. Strongly suggest halfling because they get halfling guile to make up for the str damage bonus loss. Put your first level up (or a +1 tome) into dex to hit I/GTWF requirement, and the rest into STR.

Think about it... new untwinked rogue, no +5 tools, no +5 DD/Search items, spending every available plat on heal pots and wands, poison pots, remove curse pots etc etc etc. You can't sacrifice CON so it's got to come from STR or DEX.

Without a "big brother" to take care of your rogue, life will be tough indeed with 10 starting INT.

For starting out you absolutely need to be able to disable traps in elite quests, if you expect to get the favor you need to unlock 32 point builds, get your pendant of time, bank slots, inventory slots etc etc. If you get into an elite quest group, they will expect the rogue to disable traps.

INT is a very important stat for a rogue unless you have the means to make up for a lack thereof.

I know a rogue's primary job is DPS, but most people that play this game expect you to be able to disable elite traps too.

So here I'm again... My rogue have: Str 12(+1), Dex 19(+4, took rog dex 1 enhanment), Con 14(+2), Int 14(+2), Wis 10(+0) and Cha 8(-1).
Also for everyone to know, my halfling rog is Dark Blade, have base attack bonus +2 and have (only)? 11 action points at the moment...
So have i multiclass to rog/fighter or have i be more than 3 lvl character for TWF feat? (hope this helps)...

first wanna ask, why is this in the Favor section ?

so it looks like you have a base of 18 Dex ? but if you did, then TWF would have been unlocked, something is not right.
Only class that really helps a player with low dex and getting TWF, is the ranger. you would need 11 lvls of Ranger to get GTWF, the Ranger gets that feat automatic.

Splashing in a fighter 1 or 2 levels gains you 1 to 2 more feats to pick.

but if you do have a Base DEX 17 or higher then you should be able to select TWF for sure, since all you need for TWF is Dex 15 for that. The Base 17 Dex is needed for GTWF.
