Glad I found your post as I was about to start a new one on this very topic.
I agree with everything that has been said above and cannot understand how this is sooooo difficult to fix??
I have added Icy Burst to many different weapons this year and they work great. But it is just so 'minor league' that this persists for 2 months. I would have assumed they had it figured out by the time they re-released Risia but NOPE.
Seriously, how hard can this be? If it worked in years past, that should narrow down why its not working NOW.
I must confess I am a little bit concerned. What concerns me is that any 'fix' they implement may not work properly. I can just envision a 'fix' that renders all previously crafted items broken or something that drastic. OOPs... it wouldn't be the first time Turbine (or others) fixed something only to have the unintended consequences rear its ugly head. I mean, take for example new and old versions of Dreamspitter; Why cant we trade in or upgrade our old one to be the new one? They have this mechanic in place for other items, why not this one? To many problems with unintended consequences? It makes me worried....
Given that it has taken 2+ months to get any fix on this has me worried that there is in fact some snag that makes this less than simple. If it were easy, why hasn't it been done?
They stated last week they had a fix and it would be in 'next week' which makes it this week. But as of now, Risia is back on and new weapons with the affect are still affected with the String Table Curse. So what gives?
Does this mean tehy THOUGHT they had a fix only to realize last minute that their fix is not working? Whats going on?
I know the item works as is but until the fix actually goes off 100% successfully, I will remain worried that it will never be fixed properly.
Call me a cynic.
Some more Dev insight on this would be simple yet awesome.
