    Default Air Ship teleport for Wizards

    I've seen requests in here for a modified teleport with one of the locations being your guild air ship. Or requests for a spirit binder on the air ship. But there has been responses from the devs about coding issues and such.

    What about putting an "Air Ahip Beacon" in the portable hole?

    Just a portal that anyone can use, like the Air Ship towers arround Stormreach, but with an arcane flare. It would add convienience for arcanes that use the teleport spell, and the few who use Greater Teleport could send an entire guild group to the portable hole to get to their Air Ship. The only thing I wouldn't add is the ability to "invite" non-guildies to the air ship through the portal.

    I don't think that you could add an Airship Beacon to the portable hole as each beacon is attuned to a specific ship.

    That said, a spell that allowed wizards/sorcs to summon a beacon would be amazing. And if the scrolls were purchasable I'd be even happier.

    Well the one I'm suggesting would just look like the current consumable from the DDOStore, but it should act like a regular airship tower door. It would just have to be modified.

    Lets say that the Airship tower door is a portal. That portal when clicked on gives you an option to go to your airship, and has the graphic of a Door. This would just change the graphic to the one used by the consumable "airship beacon" cause it has more of an "arcabe/magical" feel to it.

    I agree the spell/scroll would be awesome, but even more less likely cause they are making money off of the one from the store. I'm pretty sure though that they have been added to the list of store items that drop randomly anywhere(the airship beacon that is).

    They ought to just fix the teleport spell so casters can teleport directly to their guild ship:

    Agree. The lack of doing so, and the selling of "portals"- while a cool graphic- are the types of blatant "Money First-DDO rules last" thinking that Turbine should seek to avoid.

    This is not a crack at the store...I want them to make money...it's what they sell in the store that matters to me.

    If they introduce 50ft of rope and a grapling hook, torches and a 10foot pole that finds traps, and you can only grab those in the DDO store (and not by a local vendor), I would be just as put off by it. Teleporting to one's base (be it a ship or mtn. hide-a-way) is pretty much core-D+D cool stuff that casters should be able to do.

    Which is odd because there's a lot of NPCs doing farshifting in the game.
    But if they won't expand teleport options then perhaps it's a good chance to introduce the powerful gate spell.
