Evidently lightning-split soarwood is not worth THAT much. Try again -- will take several (ten?) Oil of Incandescence in trade.

There are very few collectibles you could gather to get you a trade for a +2 tome.
Of those that could the only ones I can think of are dragon scales.

Yes, I figured it out
Lightning-split soarwood seems to be quite a bit rarer than +2 Tomes (low supply), but demand is also low. So I lowered my expectations.
