Q: DT armor and kits?

Quick question... Anyone tried modifying DT armor after applying a kit to it? I'm suspicious that the process might replace the armor (including kit) with a new kit-less set.

Ive applied a Kit to my DT but its not finished i have one rune to go and this though never came to me...
If i find my rune ill let you know, but i certainly hope it doesn't. I may be out of some TP here

We ever figure this out? I've got some "decent" dt armor that I plan to upgrade one day when I have the patience, and I wanna toss an armor kit on there now.

I also have a question about Kits and upgrading the Armor they are on.
I put a DarkCrest2 Kit on an Elocator's Habiliment set which has not been upgraded yet. I was wondering if anyone else had done this and upgraded the set while still keeping the Kit?
I will report the results here after I try to upgrade my set.
I was curious about this because I also have a Kit i'd like to put on a Quori Forged Docent of Battle I have but did not want to attempt it until I figured out what happens w/ the Elocator's set...

By the way.....does the effect of an appearance kit on DT armor look any different from the effect on normal armor of the same class?

I changed my Eldritch rune after I added an appearance kit to my DT leather armour. The appearance remained intact and the new eldritch property was added. Sooooo, no worries. It works fine.
