Armor Question

I am currently considering making some dragon-touched armor for my paladin, but I do not see any options for adding damage reduction. Am I missing something, or is this a major drawback to getting dragon-touched?

I am currently wearing giantcrafted full plate, which has DR 3/-. The way I see it, for a toon with 500 hps (to make the math easy), that DR 3/- is worth (or approximately equivalent to) a lot of hit points, 50 to 100 depending on assumptions. Is it generally advisable to give up the DR for the benefits of DT? notably, I could free up some other slots (3 I think) for greensteel items if I make my DT just right....

note that I do not care about AC, as I have given up on it for this toon.

DT is VASTLY better than what you have.

DR 3/- is not that interesting at mid-high levels. In raids you often have a WC with DR 5/- song. Or you can use SS clickies. Or just cast Angelskin on yourself.

DT has lots of options for nice effects. So would rather use that than the minor DR.

OK thanks for the responses. I guess I just have my head on backwards again. I seem to have an unhealthy aversion to giving up abilities/buffs for something different.
