Higher is obviously better, but how high are save DCs in higher end content? Are they a bit like AC where you have to go all out for it to matter, or are they more reasonable?

Firstly .. my disclaimer .. im only going on general game play through a few trs this is not hard fact.
Most of my lives ive had reflex at about 35 - 40 at cap and with evasion take little to no dmg. Basically anything over 35 on saves seems good, i hav'nt done much epic though.

I don't know for sure.
Monster's spells seem to have some variety. Traps are horribly high, and do the most damage when you fail.
Higher the better. Try to aim for at least 30. But (slightly) lower is not useless.
(if we assume that a 40 is an only fail on a 1, than a 22 is still worth something. but 21 and below are the same. Since you add a d20 to your saving throw.)
I'm at +31 reflex at level 12 (+2 higher vs. traps), with a bit more room to grow. I can find +1 more from resistance, +1 from dex if I take all the enhancements, and theoretically up to +3 more from halfling saves enhancements, but it's sounding like I don't need that much more.
Will just made it to +20.
