    Default Open Lock feat/skill

    Does a pure Barbarian ever get trained for the open lock feat/skill, or does that require a mixture of another class?

    No, only the Rogue class gets Open Lock as a skill. To put even one rank into it, and thus be able to try the skill, you need at least one level of rogue.
