Some of my strongest relationships have been with girls who share the gamer interest. There are far more of them out there than most people know about.

My wife and I game together, on and off the computer. 13 years and still going.

OMG I know the feeling! I know that women don't play as hard hard core as guys, we're moms too so it's harder for us to game 12 hours days like some guys. I'd like to see some guys take care of the kids for 12 hours to let the women game as long as we want.

That'd be my slice of heaven right there. Too bad single mom's have to do both so I game when he naps or is passed out for the night.

Hey, my wife games. She doesn't like MMOs... but she's a crazy-hot gamer chick. If you find anyone who shares your interests, hang on to em. If it's gaming, then be very happy for the double-blessing.

Personally, I like this one better. For those we know who are hard core gamers. Although I guess yours is more for pre-relationship and mine is during the relationship.

My GF logs more hours a week than I do. She and I fight like cats and dogs when we group together.

So, to keep things calm and smooth, she can find her own groups

Thanks! I laughed out loud at work. I had some explaining to do.

Some of us dads do the child raising, so the wife plays more than I do. Course if I ever want her to "solo" me again, I'd better sing her praises as well. I met her playing PnP over 10 years ago, and we've been married over 8. Seriously, a hot chick who games is sooooo cool. And the fact that we can game together, or in different groups without the other getting mad is great. We BOTH realize how lucky we are to have found each other, and cherish it. Course she is the leader of our guild( she controls the money, and bought the charter first way back when) and most people are pleasantly surprised to hear her talk and bs with the guys. It makes me proud!

My overall advice to the OP: Find a girl you like and convert her.

Man I just had to chime in on this one. As the female half of a gaming couple... I get more aggro than you might think. What irritates me is when I take a few days off and NOT play.... I still get aggro!!!

Him: "Why are you not playing DDO?"
Me: "But we have family visiting."
Him: "Whatver! Everyone knows you are a gaming addict! Now go play!"
Me: "I love it when you order me around."

Nothing but nothing makes me feel more guilty than being on a 2-day DDO bender where no one else seems to exist for me save my characters and my guildies and sleep is only being had because I'd DIE otherwise... and then I turn around (cause I heard a noise) and my man is doing dishes or laundry.... I am like. "Oh.. I SHOULD be doing that." Then I shrug and go back to DDO... cause it makes me happy! Laundry DOES NOT MAKE ME HAPPY!

So yeah.... find a gamer-chick and solve many of your Partner aggro issues, but you will pick up other issues, like the fact that she may ignore you for days at a time or even weeks when she first starts playing!
    I hope this helps!
    My work here is done!!!

My gf is cool, she tried out DDO only cause I play it. We had some stumbles and we don't always see eye to eye in certain things, but then I love that about her, she has her opinions and is not afraid to voice them and stand up for them. At least to me it makes her even hotter.

She does enjoy the game, doesn't play it as much as she would like, but there have been days when we are doing 5 even 6 back to back shroud runs; because she just loves that raid.

Being a gamer is not everything, couples need other pieces to work as a couple, but if the chemistry and emotions are there, and your gf plays video games... man more power to you.

    Default Waitaminnit...

If my wife loves/plays DDO who's gonna make my dinner and handwash my undergarments? Not to mention if she can see me playing then that means my feet have nothing to rest on....

(for the record I am completely joking, my wife DOES love DDO because it keeps me from ruining her romance movies. Also, I am the one who usually cooks dinner (and by "cook", I mean "buy already prepared from Price Chopper and take the label off"))

That was terrible. Seriously, can someone erase my memory of ever having watched that? Or, more specifically, having HEARD that.

Now, on topic... My gf plays DDO (though not so much right now because she's out of the country) and one of my jobs in the relationship is to "level up my elf" as she puts it... I keep telling her it's about playing the game and enjoying it while you do it, but it's like she just wants me to do all the grinding for her... *sigh* the things one does for love eh?

I met my guy on DDO and I love that he likes my passion for the game. For us, it's a way of spending time. He's still shocked that I get turned on on occasion when he talks about game (admitting its more the passion in his voice but hes amused nevertheless). We share plat, scales etcs, I like that, its fun. And yes, sometimes I get him to level my toon while I work, else I won't be able to keep up, and we can't party together anymore, where's the fun in that.

That was awesome. I about fell off my chair from laughing so hard. I need to find me a guy that orders me around just like that for something I love to do. How'd you get yours?

First off, you two both owe me a new pair of pants cus after watching those, I soiled mine. HILARIOUS!!

Second, I'v been married to an awesome women for over 18 years but unfortunately I have only ever gotten her to try DDO once for 20minutes and she has never been willing to try again. She also tried playing PnP for one session way back when we were dating and didn't run screaming from me yelling GEEK all the way. (but she never did play again).

That having been said, she has been great as a non gamer with my 'hobby'. In over 4 years in this game I think I have only ever gotten wagro once and that was the day the dessert came out and I got in a pug running chain the flames 1/2 hour before we were supposed to leave to go to her/our nieces birthday party. Ugly..... make sure you know your time limits hehe..

But, I feel uniquely positioned to say that my Wife has been a past DnD Dragonlance Calender Centerfold in 1992!!!!!!!!!!! Dragonlance 1992

She is playing the role of Kitiara. I live in Wisconsin and back in 90' TSR was still located here in Lake Geneva. My friend (posing as Tas on the right) when asked what he would like to do for senior career day said he would like to meet with an artist at TSR. He was introduced to Fred Fields and posed for the cover of the 92' calendar as Strom (Sturm? has been so long I forget his name). He was asked to pose for another painting and if he knew any attractive women who could pose as Kit. HE mentioned my girlfriend at the time and we were invited to TSR to have her pose for the shot. She was suited up in armor and sword and photoed in several poses. We even got to visit Fred at his house in Greenfield (Milwaukee area) to view the near complete painting and my wife was snuck in to Gen Con to view the final painting (she got to wear Brom's badge to sneak her into the event).

So that's my wife (back when we were younger) and no she wasn't 'enhanced', I married a well endowed lady . So even though she doesn't play video games, she will pose near naked in armor for a painting (sooo **** hot) and that's got to count for something.
