    Default What are "good" saves for a toon?

    dont see a discussion on this. so im here to start a discussion on the subject. the question is:

    What are considered good saves at say lvl 14 and lvl 20? because people will ask what lvl, so i am looking for insight on where one shoyld be for the best possible saves. theres palidin splashes, or half elf feat for palidin, or whatever. i want to know what is considered really well covered? is above 30 good? is 40 achievable? in all 3? if so how? I welcome any input into this topic. thanks guys.

    The servicable benchmark for a primary save for any given toon seems to be above 30. If you have a high stat to boost the save, you can achieve over 40 in that save. By primary save I'm referring to the save that your class mainly boosts (fighters get high fort, rogues get high reflex, etc).

    My fighter acheives over 40 fortitude save and mid 30s reflex at level 20. My rogue tops out at 46 reflex at level 20. My cleric hits high 30's in will saves at 20....And so on. For each of those characters, when an attack or ability that causes them to roll a save hits them, they almost always save...Whereas when they were lower leveled in the same raid with mid 20's saves, they would fail the roll quite a bit more often.

    In short, aim for 30 at minimum in your primary save if nothing else.

    At level 20, I prefer my saves to be over 30, but over 20 is *barely* acceptable. My builds with under 20 anticipated at level 20 don't leave the planner alive.

    For level 14? Not entirely sure, but probably pretty close to the same - Resist +4/5, GH, luck bonus, etc... are all usable by then. As long as the finished product is acceptable, I can live with weakness while leveling.

    for my good build i been working on. i am looking at 28+ for 2 saves and main is 35+. thanks for info looks ike ill be in good shape.

    You will have issues on epic but be fine elsewhere... You would probably have issues on epic regardless however...

    My paladin in stance is about 50, 40, 40. Too bad the relex doesn't help much on traps because you move so slow you have to make several saves vs one or two at normal movement.

    35+ all saves are good, 40ish is what u want on epic if u want to fail only on a roll of 1

    high 20's to mid 30's is good saves anything 35 and over is great saves and over 40 is superb saves.


    Not many classes that can get 35+ in all saves and even less that can get 40+ without that being the major goal of the build
