Default Help, I don't wanna be broke anymore lol

Need some tips on how to make money I am always broke and feel lucky if I can have a mil along all of my alts. I usually try to keep items in stock rather then cash. Maybe this is my mistake trying to buy valuable items instead of keeping my cash or maybe that I hate farming for items I can just purchase?

I have a haggle bot but running a TR all the time doesn't get you many good stuff or even worth transferring to a bot to sell , just feels like a waste of time.....

Any tips would be helpful. Thanks.

think small. it all adds up. its amazing what garbage will sell on the AH if its priced well.

selling 10 +2 items on ah for 300plat each = 3K do that 100 times and you get 300K.

kinda puts a +2 item back in perspective as worthwhile to sell. and of course you gonna see a lot of those items relvling a TR.

That was what i did on my permadeath characters and made a lot of money really easy.

I just run epics + raids and pump up my haggle to sell them. If I see something interesting or valuable, I put it on on the AH, buyout only, and make around 100,000+ depending on the item.

With just straight running, I typically make 50-100k a day. Ransacking Shroud is one of the quickest ways to make cash.

Inspired Quarters ftw. They are all short quests. Or at least reasonably short. Run them for about an hour.

I think you mean no buyout. Can't do a buyout without a bidding option.

Guess it would depend on class but the IQ2 solo quest takes me (on a caster) 10 mins on a bad run and is 5 chests.

Greensteel Components. Heck take offers on Greensteel Blanks.
Shroud bits ( smalls and mediums ) to newer players. Yer not likely to use them all up.
Heck even dump yer "trash" on the auction house on a character if yer not playing enough to fill up that characters slots with good stuff. Small amounts add up.

Auction House or Trade Forum the Hoard. Keep what you will use, including that which you will use on your constant TR's.

    Spend less, Raid more.

I have two tips that are both a significant help in enlarging the contents of your wallet/purse in DDO. Unfortunately, I generally fail to follow either of them, so I am often broke.

    1) Stop buying **** you don't need on the AH. Seriously, you don't need whatever it was you were going to buy. Sure a +6 Strength item is helpful, but you already have a +4 Strength item and you'll be level 15 in another couple of days at most - wait until you can buy a cheap +6 Strength ring of +3 Swimming instead of spending a gajillion plat on a +Strength only item, etc.

    2) Stop leveling your alts or at least stop buying **** for them. Any time that you spend playing a capped or near-capped character will earn you cash. Any time that you spend playing a low or mid level character with high-level tastes, you'll probably end up losing cash since you'll be using Cure wands/Heal scrolls, Haste pots, equipment that you bought on the AH (see point 1), etc. on a quest that will earn next to nothing for you aside from the much loved XP.

I'm not so good at following those rules, either.

It's hard when all you run is a TR... If I cycle the girls thru epics and raids comes 250 to 600 pp a night shall Rosewood vendor such on a good day. She's not even a haggle bard really. Come AH I try to stay away ... if I sell there I price useable items just under base or even half ... get's me in trouble if I see a scroll or something.

Most my expediture however is tossed at bad pugged raid or guildies may need something. Wasting time too is an issue - standing around gains nothing, of which I seem to do more and more.

This is good advice...if you price it right it will sell. With all the inflated prices on the AH, people probadly wonder why their **** dont sell.

Also, I made a butt load of plat from the chests while running slayers and explorers. You can run these in smaller groups or solo...

Ok, you almost had me.... I have been thinking of posting a guide to making money in stormreach.... but.... Aussieee, for you it is very simple:

Go to the nearest bartender, sell the junk from your recent quest or raid... and you'll have cash... repeat until you get the cash to buy the shiny Bling you want.

    Problem solved.

Or you can pick up the coins that drop from barrels... Kobolds new Ringleader has over 250 barrels, I'm sure you can make a mint picking up barrel drops

Then stop spending!!! must be hard running trs? maybe you need a bank toon so you can throw all that gear you use for tring and store it there so you can grab it when you need it, instead of having to go to the ah to buy so and so and paying an inflated price, i dunno hoard some standard gear like +6 +4 +2 to attribute items, so icy bursted twink weapons you can hand around ect ect, and if you run out of space on junk you dont need for the forseable future chuck it on the ah and have someone else pay the inflated price for the item instead?
