Because I'm putting points into Wisdom for a reason.
That could work if I wasn't trying to get my spell DC's up.

Is there any other benefit to being Good other then the use of Pure Good weapons?

    Ok. Made up my mind:

Going True Neutral allows use of "Taint of Evil" items such as Death's Touch and Litany of the Dead.

Neutral Good is tempting... but the main benefit is really just the use of Pure Good weapons while leveling.

Default has anyone been successful with this type of build?

I am TR 4th life soon (1cleric1sorc1bard) and my static group which will consist of a wiz and a barb have decided to run warforged and I want to go Favored Soul. I have looked at the Impacts Lord of Blades build, and the Sirgog's Soul survivor. Both look cool but they have very limited offensive casting abilities and it scares the stuffing out of me to run a healer with an 8 Wisdom.

This build will only have to last me a month or so as my static group will TR again as soon as we hit 20. I am debating the plus' and minus' of both types. I have read several testimonals about the high strenghth and low wis build but how well will the high wis and moderate Strenght of this build do after U12.

I look forward any help and information

I prefer to start with an 11 charisma, just so that you don't need any items or enhancements to be able to cast your level 1 spells right away.

11 + 6 item + 2 capstone = 19, and that's all you -really- need to cast with. AP, Tomes, Ship buffs, exceptionals, etc...those are just tiny boosts of SP, and maybe insurance against disjunction (which is super rare).

and it scares the stuffing out of me to run a healer with an 8 Wisdom.
Wisdom has nothing to do with a FvS' ability to heal.

Healing takes very little investment. Here's all you need to be an effective healer:
    1) KNOW HOW AND WHEN TO HEAL. Everything else is secondary.

    2) Heal, Mass Cure Moderate Wounds, Mass Heal

    3) Empower Spell, Maximize Spell

    4) Life Magic IV

    5) Superior Potency VI item

    6) A bunch of spell points (Archmagi item, Energy Of the Scion IV, Greensteel +50/+100 SP item, etc).

That's it. Anything else you put on top of that (Healing/Arcane Lore, Heal Crit enhancements, Empower Healing, Mass Cure Serious/Critical, Ardor VIII clickie) is just gravy....and even tends towards massive overkill.
Kobold sentient jewel still hate you.

Yes, absolutely. My build is the one from my signature, and it's pretty close to Sirgog's Soul Survivor (but with Angel of Vengeance).

It is by far the easiest build I've ever leveled to cap. With adamantine body, you get solid AC with practically no gear investment up to level 9 or 10. With a bit of gear, you can push that to the mid-teens. At cap, the adamantine body DR stacks with the Lord of Blades capstones DR and warforged enhancements, for a total of 15/adamantine DR, which is fantastic.

At cap it's not the greatest favored soul build -- I'd prefer a human or helf build with some healing amp and the free cure light wounds capstone. I may TR my guy at some point. But if I do, I'll definitely miss the huge passive damage resistance and the fact that this guy is a surprisingly potent meleer, especially using a Terror against trash.

You have nothing to worry about going wis-dumped . . . the worst your likely to experience is some people in PUGs thinking you're an idiot, and even then they'll usually only realize if they expect you to get a Wis rune (VON5...). It doesn't impact your healing ability in any way, and doesn't impact Divine Punishment either. Even with the expectation that enemies will constantly save against your blade barriers, they're still exceptionally useful solo or in small groups and they make the latter part of the leveling process far easier.

I contemplated this idea for a 3rd life, 2nd life points just arent enough and your feat choices arent helping it much either just dump the wisdom since youll get some use out of it in normal content from maybe level 10~16 after that your going to start seeing spell pen issues your bb will be the only useful thing though your dcs will still be horribly low like 30~32. Extend is definitly not required after say level 8 when resists etc have plenty of time behind them.

3rd life you could afford 16/8/15/8/16/11 or 10int and 9cha thou I prefer to have 11+cha base for disjunction issues in edq1/abbot.

Feats would need to have Toughness or pl barb since the lower con start would need to work in maximize empower pa ic if you want to use anything esle besides the min2 otherwise its optional, thats 4-5 of your feats gone then you'll be looking at quicken and either heighten/spell pen or a focus id prolly go with heighten over the spell pen because even fully geared at end game your not going to be landing much in the way of instant kills and most of your casting will consist of bb. Really its just not a optimal build and has alot of stuggle to over come the negative to wisdom without really gaining much by doing it. If your looking to cast and have some melee just make a human with longswords or a elf with scims at least they can get you more casting stats/feats and no where near as many negatives. Addy body is good from level 1 till about 10ish but id dump it after that unless you need it to look pretty in a dragonscale docent.

Also forgot emp healing is nice for a wf fvs without much amp since alot of amp takes a decent amount of gear to pull off on a wf either dt with 10 20 + ship buff or a tod ring with 20% even with full healers friend youll only manage about 300~350hps back.

    Wink Thanks for the information!!!

I would like to thank all three for commenting and I am getting a much clearer picture of how this build will work. If anyone else have any other ideas please comment I would love to hear arguments that compare the high wisdom favored soul build vs the lower wisdom build like the Angel of Blades.

Again thanks again this is great (said with a sigh of relief)
