Default Great Chronoscope Run Last Night

I just wanted to say good show and thanks to everyone that came along with us on the Chronoscope raid last night. Seven members of Crate and Barrel Smashing LLC (including one that joined up during the raid) finished the raid after a grueling 78 minutes (not counting the aborted first run that took 10 or 15 minutes) of devil slaying and fun. Not one of us had done the raid before (until we picked up one or two people that had) but we managed to figure it all out and succeed.

It was nice to run some content that we hadn't all done dozens of times before - best time playing DDO in quite a while. Thanks to everyone that ran with us last night. If anyone is interested, we may run it again this weekend. That was a blast - no doubt that raid is not easy.

As far as level range we were all between levels 6 and 8, so basically at level. Since the pack was onsale and there were a bunch of us on with toons in that range, we decided that it would be fun to give it a go. I looked it up on ddowiki to find out where it is and what we'd be fighting but we didn't have the benefit of a walk-through at all.

We started off with 6 guildies and then picked up a few random people, but when we started off I was the only cleric. We quickly figured out that was a very bad idea which was a big reason why we ended up reforming.

The second run went much more smoothely - two clerics is a must when running this at level no matter how much healing everyone brings along - although there were a few deaths that happened along the way. Those Flying Abishais are beasts. One of the people we picked up before round two had run the raid once or twice before, and a little advance knowledge was huge.

The end fight was still crazy - left us all with a huge sense of accomplishment when it was all said and done. The loot from this raid is pretty good also. We had so much fun that one of the pick-ups joined our guild.

We're thinking of doing it again this weekend.

I can't wait to run this at level with our guild. Should be a blast!
