Default Making a silly concept build, need a list of all helpful auras/buffs/passive effects!

I'm making a goofball summoner/buff bot concept. Just to play on my own time and not to ever unleash on the general public (Thank goodness, I'm not that mean to people!) and I'm trying to compile a list of class specific effects, buffs and beneficial auras. Class based, racial and enhance based. And I figure what better way to find out than to ask people more well versed in each than me.

My goal is to basically make anything or anyone near me a killing machine, without so much myself being said killing machine. To push the envelope to a silly level. High level or end game viability is obviously not a must or required as this is mainly for goofing off completely.

First I need to establish what should be this character's main class, I'm torn between cleric (Summon+Hireling, support them and buff them) bard (though... their summoning caps off at level 6, but they have the most buff/support potential) and wizard (Pale master!) maybe with a splash or two of monk (Light buffs!) or paladin (Aura!)

Many thanks ahead of time for the help. =)

Pure bard is the ultimate buffbot. Just for fun you can make it a hagglebot too without sacrificing anything except one skill point per level.

If you're planning to solo exclusively with lots of summons then Pale master is your only viable option due to the extra summons. But buffbot + solo doesn't seem to really fit together. Summons in DDO are pretty weak no matter how much you try to buff them.

    EDIT: as per OP:

some offensive buffs castable on others are:
bard song (various), Greater Heroism, Haste, Rage, Good Hope <-- Bard (and only Bard) gets all these

    less important:
    Bless, Prayer, Recitation, Heroes Feast

Paladin aura gives AC, saves, saves against fear, concentration buff passively. But you need a lot of paladin levels to max out (The max is +6 AC, +5 to all saves with 18 levels of paladin and defender of siberys). Unfortunately that's pretty exclusive with bard.

A bard has the most offensive buffs by a pretty good margin, the cleric has the most defensive ones (if we include healing) and a wizard probably has the best balance between the two.

Halfling is a good race to go with to max out buffs with they hero's companion.

Pale masters have the most summoning options.

If you are playing solo, summons only is pretty limited, if you allow yourself hirelings you can make a more well rounded party of one.

Healing summons isn't all that critical as you can just make more of them although that does speed through mana if you are also buffing them with single target buffs.

#1 I'd say the most options for buffing would be a Halfling Bard (a pretty classic build) that uses UMD to cast a wide range of cleric and arcane spells using scrolls (including summons of a higher level than normally available). You really wouldn't have much reason to multi class unless you want to add rogue or the like. 2 rogue might be good for survivability and utility.

Backup would be pale master for greater summoning range, but the down side is your character is more powerful and his buffs are less powerful.

Used vet status to make a 2 bard (with the damage song buff and hero's companion, also for the UMD kick+superior rank 1 wand buff as it's the only rank I'll take) and 2 cleric (planned for later full summon progression, summong upper tier summons without paying out the butt for a scroll each time, healing and a few scattered buffs)

It's rather hilarious if terribly un-optimal. I've been doing things like the kobold assault and whatnot and just watching my summon monster 1 rat two shot various things. I'm making it a point to not help it or cast any offensive spell. And again, this is all for mid difficulty soloing and for laughs. I am not under the illusion that this is going to be a game changer or viable

Hmmm... what about a pally with maximum auras, DoS, good WIS for plenty of sp for resists/neutralise poison/fear removal/cure spells, LoH, and no active investment in offensive capabilities unless you really can't figure out what to do with left over enhancement points? Very few pallies would go much beyond the bare essential auras as prerequisites for DoS. You'd probably still be able to hit stuff regularly, if not hard, but the main thing is your "party" would benefit from just being near you. Add a bard to the party and there should be some serious combined buffage capacity (tho the bard will probably be able to cause more pain than you).

You wouldn't need the capstone, so if possible maybe splash a couple of levels of rogue at maybe 1 and 11 and do traps on the side.

    Just a thought.
    Goe ahed... korekt mah spelin'.
