    Unhappy whats going on?

ok, the past week i finally flagged for shroud. i had a friend who had do it bunches of times, got him to explain it for me. and when i absorbed it all, my first thought was: wait, if the group listens, we win? easy, lets do it.

GOD I WAS WRONG. ive done 3 failed runs , and i gotta ask, is it the group or me?

im a 16 light monk, and i have yet 2 get a beater(i tried farming shadow crypt, i really did).

i listened 2 the leader, followed the group 2 whichever portal, and did my absolute best 2 take down the portals and prep the red names. but the group just kept killing the red names 1 at a time, or killing them before the healers got their sp back, or trying 2 take down 2 portals at a time.

so, is my not having excelent dps ruining the group, or are all the little kids on break f-ing up my shroud runs?

I wouldn't worry about devouts. Shintao 3 and some Holy handwraps will be all you need soon. And it really sounds like You've had bad groups. Nothing you did at all really. If you're on Argo I'd offer you a spot In a guild raid to see how we really get things done in Shroud.

Talking You had bad luck with your group

Basically nothing is wrong with you.

You´ll have a more difficult time in part 4 and 5, because of the lack of Harry Beaters, but with a good group it can be done - there is a thread somewhere showing a group that killed Harry using the sticks of Deleras Tomb.

From what you told in your post, the problem was the group itself. In part 2 people really have to listen to the leader, and dont kill the red nameds until told to do. The red nameds on part 2 all need to go down basically at the same time. When you run with a good group, they usually "prep" the red named - i.e. they bring their life down to 5-10% and wait for the killing call.

I´m pretty sure you´ll find a better group next time.

    Cool Definitely not you.

The shroud is not about one person, it is about group synergy and listening to experienced shroud leaders.

I am quite certain, if you posted which server you are on, plenty of qualified people and/or guilds would be happy to have you come along for shroud run. Also, ask on your server forums for perhaps a static raid group who may have a spot for you to join in. Shroud is only one of many end game raids that need a bit of experienced persons leading.

Have fun and Happy New Year!

Problem with shroud is everyone thinks they know it all, most do alot dont it happens. One person isnt gonna make shroud fail unless the rest of the group is totally lame and clueless.we've all been in these types of groups, just make the adjustments you know you gotta make and move on,Shroud is so simple its not really worth worrying about. There will be many more good groups than bad.

Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.
