    Default Beware the Dread Knight

This build combines the ferocity of the barbarian, the discipline and skill of a fighter, and the cunning and resourcefulness of a rogue into one.

Half-Orc Dread Knights can devastate the battlefield thanks to their racial boost to strength, as well as their racial enhancements. Two levels of rogue are taken for UMD.

Half-elves variants won't come out as strong as the half-orc, but they can focus more on being intimi-tanks as their racial deliantes (SP?) remove the need for UMD as far as self-sufficiency is concerned.

This build was inspired by Nick Robinsonchia's Blitz build (I am posting this thread because I believe this build does not quite stick with Nick's build enough to warrant posting it in his thread).

Here is the build that I have planned for Half-Orc (note that this build excludes equipment):

UMD to no fail heal scrolls (i.e. 39+) with 10 Cha

    23 ranks
    +6 Greensteel Cha Skills
+4(+5 with +3 Cha Tome) off hand +9 Cha Greensteel (air is nice for haste clicks)
+4 Greater Heroism (can carry scrolls)
    ____________
    37 or 38 easy

+3 Skill Focus UMD (12 ftr levels should free up a feat)
    ____________
    40 or 41 easily

Other options include Head of Good Fortune for luck +2, Golden Cartouche (necklace) for enhance +3, seven finger gloves for enhance +5?, and/or Big Top enhance+3

Above is the set up I use. I make a weapon set out of heal scrolls main hand, scepter off hand.
    Toggle that set at "2"
Toggle heal scroll set at "1"

    Need a heal, hit 2, 1.

Also quickdraw helps switch backs to regular weaponsets and boost activation times, recommended if a feat is available.

You should take a look at the Blizt build, made by Nick_Robinsonchia. It's the same class split, heavy heavy DPS but i believe relies on past lives to get to its full potential.

If I replace the third toughness feat with Skill focus: UMD, I would get my UMD to 29. From there, it should be easy to reach the no-fail healing zone just from equipment alone. Once I get my UMD into the 20's range, I could ditch the Neutral good alignment, and switch to Neutral so that I can use Litany without penalty.

Given the apparent low drop-rate of Large Devil scales that I seem to be encountering, I am thinking I should stick with the Min2 Greataxe I made in my character's previous life, and use Epic Chimera's fang as trash beaters (as they have the lightning strike of a Lit2 GS weapon, and are easier to obtain at that).

From this point on, I will reserve the large GS mats for equipment items.
