Default Devs: Whats going on with the store?

    NOW WITH PICTURES!

    Uploaded with ImageShack.us

After registering a electronic VISA credit card, which i have done numurous times and bought points this way numurous times. Yet this time and this time only, the ddostore is telling me that it cannot process my transaction at this time.
My card is activated and the info has been registered.

I have typed in everything EXACTLY as it is required for the ddostore card registration.

Is this a known issue? Id like to know whats going on here as TURBINE has charged this card 3 times(1 dollar each), for trying to submit.

    Any solutions?

I dont want to try and submit the info again for turbine to take another dollar off my card.

    Suggestions?

Please launch the Knowledgebase then this article for that error code to see if any of the circumstances apply:

It may mean that the billing and card information that you are providing doesn't match the information that your credit card company has on file. We recommend you call the number on the back of your card and confirm that the information you are entering is the same as what the card company has on file for online purchase verification. Please note that this may be your billing address, or it may be different. It may also mean that your card company is declining the verification for some reason. You can check for this when you call to confirm your account details are the same.

Alternatively, it may be that the IP address you are entering the information from isn't recognized as being near the billing address you are entering. We often see this happen for students and when people are traveling. If this is the case, it may be easiest to have someone you trust (close friend or family) update the billing information, and then change your password.

The security locks may be annoying but you can check with your bank first, then with ddo's account support.
It's said there's an ip check in place but gotta check your card info first naturally.

It can get weirder than just being rejected, you may find that you can buy points via the store but can't enter it to pay for vip.
Or you can use it via paypal but can't enter it directly on ddo.

If you want to try paypal make sure you get your account verified, it plays best with verified accounts.

Those are verification tests to see if a valid payment can go through. They're never actually billed, and are removed from your statement after a few days. Just about every online retailer and service with a subscription does this.

    Default Gift Card?

Are you using a Visa gift card? I've had a similar experience where the gift card needs to be registered first before it can be used to purchase online. Once that was done, I was able to purchase the points.

with all the holiday credit traffic - i suspect that your credit card company has done you a *service* by placing a hold on charges for a short period - i especially suspect this if you have put a few items on that card over the last day or so for christmas or whatnot.

they do that sort of thing.

Its your bank thats the problem. I have the same problem if i buy more then 2 lots of points, if the bank sees the same amount going out afew times its flagged and stopped because it looks like fraud. Once you contact your bank they will let payments go though.

Dude, learn how it works before suggesting someone is stealing.

The issuing bank requires an actual transaction to verify the account therefore, like any other company performing a credit verification, Turbine charges a dollar to the account.
After confirmation, the dollar is refunded. Yes it takes time for the money to be returned to the card. But it is not because Turbine has it. Don't like the bank keeping the float? Talk to Congress, not Turbine.
Now, go get a book on credit and finance, there shall be a test on Tuesday!
