Unfortunately, several people have posted that the neither of the Sorcerer Past Life Feats give Spell Points unless you already have Spell Points from a class that gives them.

Whether this is true or not, I don't know.

This means that while you will still be able to get the AA Prestige Enhancement, you will be unable to use any of their Imbued Arrows.

You'll waste a whole life like this. Roll a ranger instead.

refer to comments in the other "monk archer" thread.

Your ki strikes, finishers, etc won't work with bows. So good luck having Ki to use anything monk at all.

    1. No SP for imbued arrows.
    2. No AA at all until level 18.
    3. Ranger dilettante only adds 8 STR to ranged attacks, not that you have enough STR to matter.
    4. No melee feats = no way to build ki = no monk moves.

    Try http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=292413

It still has ninja2, but also gets SP for imbues, takes WF: Ranged early enough to get AA early, and enough melee feats to be useful when ranged is not cutting it; I have no real argument against those who suggest that 2 fighter instead of 2 rogue for the extra feats would be better.

Setting aside debates on merits of the stat distribution, etc., it is evident that at present time Arcane Prodigy will not give you spell points UNLESS you already have spell points from some source.

You either have to be a class that has spell points or you have to splash a class that has spell points.

That means no pure class rogue, monk, fighter or barbarian Arcane Archers because they have no spell points on their own.

You can get the prestige class but you won't be able to use any of its abilities. So what is the point? Just a wasted build in that case.

Personally I am preferring my version as you can see there. As that way you get even faster run speed (sprint boost), better melee, higher cap on str to dmg, etc.

I like Elg's monk version better. While the special forces is better for melee with the 7d6 + 9 sneak, it doesnt have improved precise shot, so really isnt optimal at being a true crowd clearing AA.

Also you can modify a 12monk/6ranger/2x to have rogue dilantee and acheive 6d6 sneak which is comparable, while gaining more hp, more feats, better survivability IMO.

The lack ki generation with bows, hurts its possibilities alot. Still a solid build.
