Drop rates

So when the new Update 8 quests came out and was only available to VIPs I had maybe 12 named items drop for me in two runs (plus many marks).

Each chest had multiple named items and marks.

Since it has become available for premium and F2P the drop rates seem to have gone way way down.

I did a run of the full chain and had one item drop (besides the end reward).
Others say they noticed the same thing.

Coincidence?
Is this increased drop rate for the VIP preview an incentive for people to become VIP?

Anyone else notice a reduction of drops since the initial introduction?

Drops rates may be lower in general, but it seems that certain named items are still extremely common -- the Garments of Equilibrium in particular seem to be dropping very frequently.

This happens every update.

The drop rates for new items are dramatically higher in the first few days ~ week of a content pack being open. This is to draw interest toward the pack, and the items that can come out of it.

Yes and the bracers that grant bow profs. drop alot too as does the hag trinket.
