I am looking forward to playing the game on xbox live. If the game has any immersion at all and doesn't just repeat the same levels over and over like sacred 2 did, I could play it for a while.

Obviously you do believe that quantity is a measure of quality then.

I'm not entirely convinced that you've actually played D&D3.5, or DDO come to that, if you are trying to say that "In 3.5, a melee has exactly one move: basic attack".

Clearly further discussion of comparative, modern role-playing game design is impossible.

However if you are happy with D&D4 then I'm very happy for you.

I loves me some D&D video games, but this really doesn't inspire me in any way, shape or form... Looks like they're doing in on the cheap in hopes of generating a lot of low price sales... "Hey, it's only $5, why not", but it seems like the graphics leave much to be desired, and the content will be limited...

I may give it a shot, but my hopes are not high.

I also prefer FR to Eberron but even with that fact, FR has been done over and over and over and over, at least Eberron is a fresh setting.

I'm not fond of Eberron, and am certainly not going to go hit ebay and order any books set it that setting, but at least it isn't the same old tired setting that has been done to death since the 80's.

There are other settings out there. At least one of them is very popular and I personally think it would make a good setting for a game like this if it isn't botched up.

Its a console game? I wonder if thats the console game that Turbine was supposed to be developing. I bet that was the settlement when WB took over Turbine and Atari dropped its lawsuit.

Personally, I am a PC gamer almost exclusively. I have tried a few consoles over the years, and I dont enjoy any of the platforms and most of the games. The controllers always make me nuts. I just bought a Wii a few weeks ago and I enjoy that to a point. I might get this if I could play on the Wii, but...

Also, I dont enjoy The Forgotten Realms nearly as much as I enjoy Eberron. I liked NWN, but DDO actually got me to read books again! I have been reading every Eberron based book I could find. The idea that there is gunpowder in Daggerdale REALLY makes me hesitate. I love that magic is so pervasive in Eberron that it would be weird for someone to try to build a machine to do the same thing.
The problem is never how to get new, innovative thoughts into your mind, but how to get old ones out. Every mind is a building filled with archaic furniture. Clean out a corner of your mind and creativity will instantly fill it.
