    Default Can't log in..please help

    I just bought a new system, with Windows 7 and directx 11. I can get the launcher up with no problem, but when I try to conect to the game server I get this error message " dnd client has stopped working". Does anyone have any suggestions how to fix this so I can continue playing the worlds greatest online game?!?!?!

    This message can be due to several causes. The most common ones are listed below:
    • Outdated or incorrect/corrupted video card and/or sound card drivers
    • Incorrect game graphics settings
    • Corrupted DirectX installation
    • Corrupted installation

    I apreciate the response, be it somewhat generic though. I know all that. It's all good, I have a brand new machine with all brand new updates.

    Anyways, I figured it out. It seems some directx 9 files are needed to play DDO. I download some from the Microsoft website and game runs fine now using direct x 9. Error still pops up if I try to use directx 11 though. I suspect DDO devs need to look at that more, because it's not working, least for me and likely others as well.

    I'll post the link I used here soon in case anyone else has a simular issue.
