What's wrong here?

Recently joined a guild (first time in a guild), and tried just now to figure out the mechanics of the augment crystals. I'm following the instructions laid out in the wiki, but the small augment crystal won't add. Blergh. Any clue as to what I'm doing wrong? And shouldn't the description show the size of the slot, rather than force me to look it up? *shrugs*

That item has no slot. Your item should SAY it has a slot, and of what type.

I think it's one of the bugged items. Recently I started finding items without guild crystal slots, but they had minimum guild level requirements. If an item indeed has a guild augment slot, it will be mentioned in the item description. You just buy the crystal, grind it with the item on a stone of change and you are good to go.

Isn't that one of those left over swords that had that high of a minimum guild level?

I thought they changed all items associated with a guild requirement to min lvl 1.

Ah, so it's bugged. I just picked it up a few hours ago as a harbour quest end reward, and noticed it had a guild requirement when I was about to sell it, so it's not a left-over from any update. Guess I'll just vendor it then.
