How about this. Instead of trying to code new bags, cases, containers, buckets, sacks, etc why not make it so that all the collectibles/ingredients fit into one of the existing bags. For example any item that you pick up for flagging should go into your collectible bag. Same with your planar shards. Shards of power should stack and go in an ingredient bag, etc. If they just coded the existing **** to fit into a bag it would free up a lot of space so I wouldn't have to worry about scroll cases and component bags as much.

Also let's look at who this is affecting most; you're paying players. All those adventure packs have raids that all require you to collect some **** and hold onto it. Give us a break. We're paying money here so help us out. I have tons of garbage like sigil frames, essences, gems, etc cramming up my inventory and all because i spent money on the game.

A little help plox. Seems like this would be the easiest fix.

I'm fairly sure one of the first 100 requests for scroll cases got a Dev response that read something like "We want to, but it would literally break our code. It isnt possible with this game's current code. We cant. Sorry."

Unless, of course, you would like to open the scroll case, remove the scroll, select the scroll and then use it. That they can almost certainly do. Using it from a case messes something up somewhere.

If I have the time, I'll search through the other 'scroll case' requests and see what comes up.

I would happily take option two. Just something to store scrolls so they don't take up and entire bag on my Bard! and yes potion bags would also be lovely, but If I has to choose I'll take the scroll case first.

They still need to fix quivers so you can quickbar dif arrows/bolts and use them directly from the quiver but yes we could all use scroll cases, potion belts, spell component bags, throwing-weapon bandoliers, etc. It doesn't matter if doing this breaks their current code.... if they didn't plan for this then the code needs to be rewritten anyways. I don't mean to be rude, honestly, I'm saying that we're paying for this product to have fun not be aggravated by a mechanic that doesn't work properly so they should fix it to work properly.

I would love a Scroll Case if just to auto collect and put them in one place when I am not on a Scroll user.

For a componet pouch I would make this suggestion that is bound to have been made before. Make a tab in the inventory that has a designated slot for each spell componet. Yes I understand this will take up a lot of space as there is what 35+ componets currently in game, no spot for the anointed holy sword weapon componet.

Then have the componet pouch reload the designated slot with its proper componet if no componet is in its designated slot when a spell calls for the the componet to be used. Wish I could word that better.

Component Bag and Scroll Case would be very convenient and not game-breaking in any way.

It opens a bad door IMO... think about how many weapon sets most melees carry especially at 20. Do they have some option to minimize how much space this takes? They will want some next.

The only one I can really see agreeing with would be a potion bag, because everyone could make use of it, just like everyone can make use of every other type of container (except quivers.)

    Really? Really?
What about soul bags? those are limited to pretty much two classes(unless you crafted a gs item) MOST classes can use scrolls, all can if you build up your UMD. Not to mention that Scroll cases and Potion bags have been in D+D since almost the beginning. There is no item, that I am aware of, in D+D that allows Melees to carry vast amounts of weapons.

Bag of holding, portable hole, and (the best one, allowing taking item out of it as a free action) Heward's Handy Backpack (misspell probably).

Haversack. Not backpack. The name includes the word 'Haversack'.

I meant stuff we don't already have. (the haversack is just a bunch of bags of holding in combination)

If the link to why this can't be done is found, I'd love to see it. My search-fu is waning on the holidays.

I can see them having issues with 'casting from case', but issues with simply making a container for scrolls / components?

Although sadly, I'm sure if they gave us cases without the hotbar ability there would still be 10 threads calling 'epic fail' and 'completely useless'.
