    Exclamation Infinite Scroll Case!!!!!

Whats with the caster hate DDO? In almost every D+D video game your able to get scroll cases for the casters and divines, but after more than 4 years we still have nothing here? We have Gem bags, Portable holes, Ingredient Bags, Collectable bags, Soul bags, Quivers and now, new to the ddo store, we have Cookie Jars?? AHEM!! Please, for the love of the Dark Six, can we PLEAAAASSSE get Scroll Cases??

I've actually wondered about this myself. In addition to the list you mentioned, we can also get... hireling folders?! I've never carried more than perhaps 3-4 hirelings at a time, max. But any bard or divine caster I've played carries something like 10 kinds of scrolls.

A scroll case would indeed be quite useful, provided that you could use the scrolls without having to drag them out into your inventory. That part is key.

Add this to the long line of other containers like potion bags and spell component bags and other types of containers that I can't recall.

Scroll cases would be a nice add-on, I agree.

I couldn't tell if you were being sarcastic; there are hireling folders in the DDO Store.

Nope, not being sarcastic. What I meant by "we can get" was, "we are also currently capable of getting."

I agree scrolls cases and ingredient bags would be wonderful. I think the quote above is the key though. The common factor on all bags so far has been that you have to pull the items out to use them.

I read a post a while back that mentioned they were having problems getting the stuff in the bags to act properly without removing them.

The easy fix would be to add two dedicated bags to the right side of out inventory tab. The same as regular backpack bags. And make it obtainable through favor, or character level, or even make it an option in the 20th completions .... a +3,4 tome or a "bag of holding". You should earn it, not have to buy it.

One for spell components and scrolls only
    and
One for Potions and (wands?) only

Even without this possibility, this would be awesome possibity- you put case on hotbar, drag scroll out of it, use scroll, and click gather all, then close case.

Container types are a common request. Potions, Spell reagents, Scrolls, etc. Last comment I saw from Turbine folks was that containers tech did not allow for you to live access items in a container. Until that issue is overcome, there are a number of container types we likely won't see.

However, I would *still* like to see scroll containers even if I could not use any of the scrolls in the container. If I need to remove them from the container to use them, I am fine with that. It even seems logical to me.

While I remember reading something similar somewhere in the forum ages ago, I do wonder why collectors can get their stuff directly out of collecitble bags then, while it is impossible to have the same functions for stuff like the shroud signet stone when the npc wants it or for spell components/scrolls/pots and the bags they would be in then...

So imho it shouldn't be too much work with what they have already in their code.

Maybe sky is falling, a devs reads this thread and has some kind of answer for us?

I would love to hear a response on this, and then get the bags. I will accept an early Christmas present.

    Default The scroll case conundrum

I see this as less of a scroll case and more of a traveling spellbook.

even if u can not cast from the container it's usefullness is not in question.

as a way of storeing the unbuyable spell scrolls for your caster (especialy your TR )

If this item comes to pass Please name one after Zotpox =) Plz.

/ Signed and I think every other player in this game would sign this too.

But for now I would happy to even just hear explanation from devs why not? If it's too much work, I'm ok with that but would just like to hear reason for daily pain and sorrow with inventory.

Would you settle for a level 20 wizard hireling that can only cast master's touch, nightshield, and grease?

Even if we can't use it from the container I still sign it. I carry an empty quivers just to gather stupid arrows. Just wish there was a "ungather" button, or something to throw it all back to your inventory, making it easier to sell all.
