In the true meaning of the old proverb I would like to "teach you to fish," rather than just givin you an item.
A) the Thelanis server as a whole doesn't take to begging very well. So in the future you might want to refrain from it and/or at least try to trade something.
B) try using the forums. There are multiple posts/guides on how to get a free heavy fort item by running black anvil mines for adamantine ore. As I am on my iPhone I will leave it to you to actually do the search (or maybe someone else can help you as well).
C) did I mention that begging is frowned upon?
D) try using the auction house. There are often cheap heavy fort items, sometimes with extras on it so a higher level requirement but you can get a cheap one if you look.
E) Thelanis really hates begging.
F) try looking at vendors.
Hope this helps. If you still can't find one look me up in game and I will help you run for ore.

You didn't just get a potential heavy fort item from darkrune and bryanmeerkat... You got a potential free heavy fort item for every single character that you'll ever make. What else do you want before it's more than a "woopdi do" and an insult?
Just curious.
The "best of the bestest" possible scenario can get you Heavy Fort at lvl 6. Then at 8 with no restriction. Then at 9 for free. Completely free. For F2P. Just do Relic of a Sovereign Past. You don't even need to complete it. Heck, you don't even need to do half the quest. If you can't solo it, you might be able to have someone help you out, a guildie perhaps? I do it every now and then to help my guildies/friends.

^ This!
Easy to run this. I always run this on my new toons. 9th lvl heavy fort. for less then 20 min work.
Item is a neck slot. I use it till lvl 12, minos helm (3 hours work?) and use it into end game.
Item binds to you so its only good for those 3 lvls, then just throw it out.
Also brokers in market often have insane items, I like to call it dumpster diving. Remember, brokers on each market instance, have different items, look in them all.
I like to sell useful items I no longer have need for here, just for people like you.
Its not easy getting started out, but we all got through it. AH is not for you yet, till you get a 20 up and running, to fund any new toons.

Explorers are we, intrepid and bold, out in the wild, amongst wonders untold. Equipped wit our wits, a map and a snack, we’re searching for fun and we’re on the right track!
Beg - To ask for as charity
How is your OP not "begging" for a HvyFort item? No offer of compensation of any kind... future compensation, asking for info on how to get by your self.
While your post does not offend me, as it is easy for me to read, and ignore it. Actually Dark did you a service: responded with information helpful to get an item, and advice on winning friends and influencing people--both of which you scorn.
What's the saying?

NOOO! Good advice up to the "throw it out" part, but you can go back to the quest and trade it for Nightforge Armbands. Heroism clicky, 3/day
