50% What a sham

Let me start by saying I really do enjoy DDO. But this 50% off sale sucks. For last week and this week just about EVERY item offered is a pack or a toon type that VIPS get for free. I have spent a lot of money on DDO and I really don't mind spending money on things I enjoy, but it seems the people in charge are really shafting their LOYAL customers this time. If they want to offer the packs at a discount to non subscribers fine, I have no problem with that, the more people who can do different quests the more fun everyone has. But to not offer 50% off things we subscribers can use is like a slap in the face. Why should I pay a monthly fee when I can get everything I want cheaper by being a free user. I truely hope someone at Turbine reads this and does something to fix it or I think they may start to lose their customers, I know I am not the only one who feels this way.

Guess it takes you longer to gain perspective then others. As for me I think being on every day since I have joined has given me quite a lot of perspective.

And before you tell me about my time on DDO I am disabled and am confined to bed, so yea I have a good excuse to spend so much time on line.


I will not deny there have been other sales for both items and packs, but I am talking about last week and this week only. Offering only packs day after day is a little much.

Cancel your sub and see how much you lose out on. Alot of that stuff has been on sale at one point or another.

I never think having more people to group with is a bad thing, and if alot of people are buying these on sale packs, leveling just got easier.

Blimey you must really hammer your blue bar to want that many! Its pretty rare i've had to drink one even during raids, but then i don't pug on any of my casters. I bet its pretty fun though solo leveling a caster when you have practically unlimited mana! :-)

While I was disappointed to see a heavy dose of Packs this week, it's certainly not a sub canceling issue.

Working from memory, last time we had the month of 50% sales I don't recall there being very many packs in that series. While I see them coming heavy with packs this time to make up for it, I would suggest to the powers that maybe breaking up the sale types every other day or something. Pack one day, consumable the next, account item the next, etc.

There are more things in the DDO store (counted individually - packs, races, classes) that are useful to non-VIPs than there are things that are useful to everyone. Unless you count silly things like hair dye and spell components.

If everything in the store sees its day on sale, what does it matter if there are more days featuring sale items useful to non-VIPs? They did tomes the other day; would you have felt better had they split that up over six or seven days? STR on Sunday, DEX on Monday, and so forth until Supreme on Saturday?

50% off anything is a good sale. Getting adventure packs 50% off is especially nice since it allows you/me/everyone to accumulate more Favor which means free TP's. Then you can turn those free TP into the other stuff you want from the Turbine store! Imho, it's a win/win.

I have no doubt, and I agree that they should get their sale day too. But they can all be squeezed into maybe a day or two, whereas you obviously can't do that with adventure packs.

I'm just saying that there is good reason for the flat number of days with stuff useful to non-VIPs vs. the number of days with stuff useful to everyone - there is more stuff in the previous category.

I reiterate, if everything in the store goes on sale at some point this month, what does it matter if there are 20 days with sales for F2Pers and 10 with sales of interest to VIPs too?

He is complaining about the lack of offerings for VIPs - a valid complaint - and you dog him out because you believe that he's only played since May?
