I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to fix this one. Granted, I am not a computer genius, but I've tried my best to follow the advice of the Knowledge Base and some of the other forum posts. I've copy/pasted the Patch folder, reinstalled the NET things suggested in the Knowledge Base, uninstalled and reinstalled the game from my computer, and uninstalled it completely to redownload again. None of these seem to have had any change.
When booting up my DDO, on the update screen, I get an initial error message that 'the requested http header could not be located.' It usually will keep attempting until I get an 'error 40000' message with some description including something about a patch (this is what prompted me to follow the copy/paste of the patch folder suggested in the KB). If left unchecked, it will supposedly finish updating.. but when I enter my login information, it tells me that I do not have 'permission' or something to that effect, and it closes the program.
It is worth noting that my current internet provider has a download limit, per day, of 300MB. As such, it took me two days of downloading during the 'free zone' (2AM to 7AM eastern) to redownload my still non-functional DDO.. and I am loath to attempt that route again. Help.![]()
