Lamannia Going Offline - 12/15, 11am (GMT-5)

With Update 8 now released, Lamannia is going offline today at 11am (GMT-5) until we are ready to start the next preview cycle.

I would like to thank everyone who took some time to come over the Lamannia and Preview both Updates 7 and 8. You gave us great feedback and the entire DDO development team appreciates your input.

We have a ton of exciting stuff in the works for the coming year, and I am looking forward to getting the next Preview up on Lamannia early next year.

When Lamannia goes back up for next update (update 9), can we recopy chars or are we only allowed 5 copies per account life? Some have been updated/changed since last copy and I would like to try the new updates/mechanics with updated chars rather than ones I copied like 6 months ago. Thanks for letting us get a preview and allowing us input for the updates.

Every few updates they've been allowing fresh copies to Lamannia, so most likely there will be another character wipe before the preview of update 9 with some new character copies.

It would be nice if we could copy over more than 5 characters though, if that's possible.

Ah sweet. Update 7 was first time I used lamannia for testing purposes so I wasn't aware of the char wipe. Thanks mate.

Same here. I have toons that i want to check on Lamannia. I tinker with them on Lamannia to see if I like the changes.

It's nice to have Lamannia available more often and to have the ability to download toons to run tests on.

We haven't decided anything as of yet for Update 9, but we do wipe the characters and number of copies every so often. It is very possible we will do this again for Update 9.

It would be nice if we could copy over more than 5 characters though, if that's possible.
