    Default Maximum Hero's Money

While witnessing with disbelief the astronomical sum of platinum offered in a thread for a common +4 Dexterity Tome (Right now 7.5 million pp!), it occurred to me to know what's the maximum amounts of platinum that can be held by a Hero? Ty.

+4 DEX tomes are far from common. Unbound ones nearly unheard of. That auction may well be involving the only unbound +4 DEX tome to ever be sold on that server. If not the only, one of very, very few.

If VIP, Premium, or on a lvl 13+ F2P character, 4,294,967 pp

I look at my wizard's 14k plat and am very sad. Time to go run Vale quests.

common o-O, common!?, go run 40 shrouds, 23 ToDs, 16 hounds, 13 visions, 3 abbots, 9 epic VoNs.... and then tell me how COMMON +4 tomes are >.>

anyway, is the seller really "only interested in plat"?, does that even make sense? i mean he cant even carry the sum he is being payed... when you sell this sort of stuff you are looking for the rare items you would buy with the plat anyway....

4,294,967 pp - Whats with the oddness of the number?

Is there (i'm sure there is) a mathmatical reason it is not say, 4,300,000?

It could be a more rounded number!
If 4,294,967 pp is the maximum how would they deal with 7,500,000 pp?

And yes, there is a mathmatical reason for that particular number as the max...there is a thread some where that explains it..but I can't seem to dig it up.

It's the highest number, in copper pieces, expressible in a 32-bit integer.

Multiple transactions. In fact, the per trade plat limit is much lower. About 2mil plat.

That's a trade where both parties will have to trust the other.

To be honest, I've found that seller's insistence on trading in plat somewhat odd. If it were my +4 DEX tome, I'd be looking for bids in Large Devil Scales and Flawless Red Dragon Scales.

What makes you think +4 tomes are common? +4 tomes are far from common, rarer than finding a Large Scale in Part 4 of the Shroud. On top of that, a +4 tome that isn't bound to account is quite possibly the rarest item in the game.

4,294,967,296, actually. But I imagine that first number is used to represent zero.

That's just wrong. Do not taunt legendary items with your poorly chosen words! If there are priceless and legendary items, that - for sure - is one of them! Buyer shouldn't even eat it. He should put it in museum and be a proud owner of it.

Even bound +4 tomes are extremely rare. In addition, this one is unbound!

An unbound +4 tome is about as common as being struck by lightning while being eaten by a shark.
