Multi damage type spell crits

If I am wielding an ice or fire lore weapon does it effect the crit of the bludgeon part of meteor or ice swarm? Would a green blade effect both?

from what i understand, item boosts increase the damage on both. it would seem plausible that the criticals on both would likewise be boosted, but i haven't heard anything specific... but everything i've heard is that the spell is boosted, affecting both types of damage, rather than the damage itself being boosted.

Yes, it should. The critical chance is for the spells themselves, not the individual effects. Meteor Swarm will critical hit if one has Fire/Ice critical chance enhancements, for example.
