Considering half-elf pure fighter.
Sword&board + a tiny bit of longbow, just for kicks.
But what alignment?
Considering Neutral, for the +2ac +2 saves - but then I miss out on all the chaos/law and /good weapon effects.
Or what?

I would suggest Chaotic-Good for levelling. This will make the way up a lot easier(pg weapons and DR breakers for almost anything). And when you reach the cap(and you have a Min2), you can always buy an alignment change token and change to True Neutral to avoid special damages I heard about(I have never see them in play), and also I heard other people saying that this alignment damage it's not so bad in the end.
BTW, the +2AC +2saves you said, I suppose that come from a stability weapon/armor. Those bonus are deflection for the AC and resistance for the saves, very easy to get from other items/spells.
Thanks.
I was kind of planning on Chaotic Good as well.
I did not think about the types, that Stability gives. But yeah - those would only be important at the very early game.
Asking what alignment you should be on a pure ftr who is "Sword&board + a tiny bit of longbow" is like asking which mixed drink to order at the bar on the Titanic: your priorities might be slightly askew.
Always go Neutral
