personaly i would like to see a machanic where if you dont get a shard/ seal you get say a shard token. 8 shard tokens can be exchanged at the epic trader for wichever shard you are after from the particular raid that the token dropped in.
Ie:- run evon 6, 8 times chances of getting that elusive belt shard are still slimmer then a blue rizla.
But if you collected a token on every evon 6 run if you havnt got that belt shard by then you can go to the epic trader and buy one.
Why not: 1 shard from X pack + 1 Raid token + 1 dungeon token = 1 random shard from X pack.
Same for seals.
It would 'eat' some of the tokens laying around, and also rid us of our bags full of seals and shards we would never use.
(Similar i guess to how the new DT crafting mechanism works, don't get what you want, bust it down into random items to try again, maybe if u WANT to sell something in the ddo store, sell 'catalysts' that when combined with the above, do what I suggested.)
Not good.
It's best that I farm Epics and learn the game completely.
But yes I probably would buy the few things I farm almost everyday and just can't seem to get.
Turbine, please save my wallet from my own foolishness by not doing this.
Having a 20th completion end reward for Epics where, not all, but some shards and seals are available would be nice.
Heck, how about an Epic end reward that wasn't a +2 leather armor.

BONGO FURY - Ghallanda - Thingfish - Wizard, Diuni - Ninja, Gheale - Angel, Dullknife - Tank, Noodlefish - Gimp, Jaquaby - Treacherous and other gimps.
I personally think the grind for some of the epic items is too ridiculous so maybe only have one part of the epic item in the ddo store like the shard or seal or at least make another one unbound the scroll is unbound yes but its still too much grind to form one of the easier epic items so maybe make another one unbound or sell them in the ddo store and no not both of them just the shard or seal imho, but do not make it so u do not have to grind at all cause that takes the fun out of the game and it is just a waste.
Why Don't we just put everything that is in the game in the store, so those who don't want to play it can just buy it, get bored and leave... While we are at it add the 6th tr character tokens, (so a new player can buy a 6th life tr toon their first day of play) and guild level 100 tokens....
Seems like we are heading that way already, lets just get it over with... So people who hate the though can quit, Those who want to buy it all can, then get bored and quit, and be done with this...
We are already past the point of no return on that slippery slope...
enough with the store already... play the game or don't.
They shouldn't sell them, but they should make Epics function similarly to raids-- after 20 runs, you get a modified end list from that quest that includes an assortment of seals or shards. This change would also apply to raids, except it would only be a selection of up to five shards and they would be treated as additional slots in the rewards window instead of taking up slots of other gear.
Hell no, I would never.
...but my dad buys them like water.
Homer: "Marge, it takes two to lie. One to lie and one to listen."
this would probably be the best idea because after 80+ runs of an epic raid and still not being able to complete an item is a little hectic so have epic completions where u can get seals/shards/scrolls to epic the item that are only obtained after 20 epic runs and also have norm-elite 20 completions as usual so this will make the game a lot more fun and lower the boring grind and grind that we suffer from now. no i dont have a problem with how it is now its just boring doing the same thing over and over how about we get this done asap and move on to the next thing.
Ghallanda - now with fewer alts and more ghostbane
Please no. Nononono.
That said, I'm sure it'll be here soon enough

I agree that there is a huge grind related with getting certain seals or shards and some seal/shard trade in system could be a solution, then people could use all those piles of seals and shards that they will never need. On the other hand then more people would have the Epic Ring of Spell Storing than the Bauble which imho is not right.
Maybe the best solution for this is still the straight forward one - slightly increasing the droprates, especially in such quests as ADQ1.
