    Default Light Monk Build

Ive noticed there are very few pure monk shintao builds. I like the idea of them, and tried making one. Halfling seemed to be the best fit. Also, only have 28 points (hopefully 32 after christmas ). If anyone can recommend me to a good build if this one is beyond repair, it would be much appreciated. Also, the tomes are a weird levels because I just took them for enhancements, other than dex and str +1. Here it is

If you have metalline of pure good handwraps, you don't NEED Shintao III, but why would you want Shintao at all? For me, the whole point of Shintao is silver DR bypass. Well... and my Shintao ToD ring and necklace set bonus.

Shintao will let you replace the transmuting of pure good wrap with something that does a lot more damage.

The extra stun maneuvers are also extremely handy in epics and parts of certain raids.

There is a newer version of the planner that has Shintao III working correctly.

I would replace cleave with something else.

Stats are OK for a wis/dex finesse build, you’ll likely adjust them slightly as you play the character more.

This thread has a lot of information on monks in general: (build listed is a dark monk, but a lot of the build advice, thread discussion, and links are quite relevant and insightful)

I actually prefer a strength based approach: (replace void with more Halfling guile/cunning if not going void IV)

You can't take a +1 tome at lvl 2, which means you can't take PA at lvl 3. Not a big deal, though: just swap PA & Stunning Fist. Unless SF is monk-bonus-feat-only, in which case swap it around with something else.

Cleave is pretty blah, but I presume you took it for the Shintao pre-req. Since your INT's too low for CE, I don't know what to suggest instead. Is Precision less sucky now that it bypasses fort?
