DDM's Realm Update 7.1

I have some exciting news! Due to www.ddmsrealm.com/ddo popularity and all of your great support, the site has gotten quite popular. What does this mean? It means you have been crashing servers, wahoo! Well, not anymore. DDM's Realm has been upgraded to an enterprise level database and should be able to handle the traffic now! I want to thank all of you for the great support of DDM's Realm. I really do appreciate it!

I have made some significant website improvements during this upgrade. You should see a fast, more responsive website. Plus, it's even prettier. I hope that these improvements make using DDM's Realm even better!

DDM's Realm Update 7.1

• Database Upgrade!
• Code scrub to fix many speed, browser, and performance issues.
• Face lift on the Item Section. The item/gear section of DDM's Realm has the same visuals as the rest of the site now!
• Rearranged Item Section. There is a new layout and presentation of the information to (hopefully) make it easier to read and use.
• Item Search enhancement. Now see all of the special abilities of DDO gear on the item search pages.
• Item Summaries added to Item Details. Just below the name of the item is a Summary section that can easily be copied and pasted into in-game chat!
• Many quest and item updates.
• Many Epic item gaps filled in. Congratulations to all those that worked so hard for those items! Thanks for the info!
• Crafting paths for items added! Now you can see on any Items Details page if the item can be crafted. Just look for the green check on the top right of the details. Then look at the table below for the crafting path.

I understand the frustration you may have experienced recently while trying to access the site. Thanks for sticking with me. As always, let me know if you have any comments, questions, or corrections.

Now that nightmare is over... time to get ready for Update 8. Eek!

You could probably squeeze a bit more performance out if you set longterm expiration dates for the images

Thanks, I am pretty happy with how it has turned out. It is a far cry from the initial release that is for sure! hehe

I am actually contemplating a template that is specifically for in-game browsing. I just have not been able to get around to implementing it. If you go into your my.ddo and add it as a link it will work pretty good. I do this myself. It makes in game searching pretty easy.

I did ton of image tweaking so I uploaded the entire sites art assets. Once you get them all you should see the performance increase. Your browser is basically grabbing it all over again. If it seems to do it every time for the same pages you may check your internet browser settings.
