Default Proposal: adding more Xoriat quests to the mix

Xoriat, the plane of madness, would be an interesting plane to explore. There could be a quest-chain culminating in a raid in which you fight a higher power of Xoriat that is so dangerous, it utilizes the power of insanity itself to neutralize player characters, and could attempt to banish players from the plane of Xoriat (this way, the Planar boots would have a better use). Additionally, players could have the option of using materials that would protect them from the Insanity effects of Xoriat (this way, players won't have to fight random things such as shoes, boxes, food-themed zombies, and even... mobs of Broccoli that have random effects such as flame shield, chill shield, and could use random attacks/spells such as disintigration [from it's eyes!]).

This would not only allow for more quests at higher levels (as this could be a level 18-20 pack), but would also mix things up a bit so that it doesn't feel like doing more of the same.

    Thoughts anyone?

Personally i would have liked to see more quests in the Plane of Dreams, the ones that were there were pretty awesome o_O, but the last quest in dreaming dark makes it pretty clear that we are never going to get to explore it T.T

but yeah, xoriat exploration would be pretty cool (the subterrane does not count as xoriat, im thinking along the lines of flesh landscape, giant teeth everywhere, interesting insanity themed land marks, beholder mothers as rares, etc.)
the raid would probably go against a boss beholder like Gzemnid or something

A purple named Beholder would be ****ing brutal! Bring it on

I agree, Xoriat needs exploring, maybe they could use it as a launch pad for the random dungeon element that is being talked about?

please no random dungeon generator ><, it just lowers quest quality without bringing up replay value

/signed because we need more extraplanar exploration and to be the outsiders that need to be banished from time to time.

Hmm. Sounds like a game conversion of one of the Mighty Morphin Power Ranger films.............

(Note: I took my son to it. I did not enjoy it. I would not have gone to it on my own. Honest.)
