Finally need to make a real DPS char

As you can see in my sig, all of chars have been party support. I am looking to build a DPS char and of course the first thought is barb. Well, I am not one to follow trends (there are quite a few barbs out there, and for good reasons) and was thinking a heavy pick using Kensi fighter. I initially made one up as a HORC, but I felt stupid because of the racial enhancements horc's get with THW that I would be ignoring. Deleted that one and made a human instead. Still havn't played it yet and am thinking of deleting that one and making him a WF. Enough of the backstory - time for the questions.

- I like the idea of heavy picks...but is Khopesh still better?
- Race - is WF a decent option? Am I foolish not to make him a horc even though he will be dual wielding?
- Can I expect a decent stunning blow DC without using a stunner (picks are piercing after all)

Any advice will be welcome (including links to builds if you are so inclined). Thanks.

- Picks are great for dps. Is Khopesh better? Well that depends on the situation. Picks are great when you can crit things easily. So if you are thinking of going with high stunning blow, then I think you'll love the pick.

- Warforged are a great melee race. They get immunities which help you out and increased CON for more hps.

- No it is not foolish to go with HORC, even if you are dual weilding. Look at the "Blitz" build for a good example.

- Yes you can expect a good stunning blow DC if you max your STR out and max your stunning blow enhancment line even if you are not using stunners. Again, check out the "Blitz" build for more info on this subject.

Heavy picks are best on mobs you can auto-crit. They shine for taking out Epic trash. Khopesh is better on bosses and until you are surrounded by auto-crit mobs.

WF is still a great race for DPS. Extra HP from CON, immunities, and combat tactics enhancements that stack with fighter combat tactics enhancements are awesome.

HO's are also awesome. Probably a little more raw DPS.

Max STR and take as many combat tactics enhancement for stunning blow you can fit in and you should be fine. You'll still probably need a weighted item to hit the high DC's, but if you plan for it, weapon swapping will help you with this.
