Definately Epic Torc of Prince Rayium de II And , tho some will disagree, StormReavers Napkin and Epic Dragon's Eye . Everything else is pretty much to enhance what you're specc'ed for. ( if you meant what should you use AT end-game)
There is an "Alternate" Forum, PM Strakeln for details.

There is a ton of great gear for casters. Off the top of my head I can think of:

    Torc
    Greenblade
    Noxious Embers
    Staff of Petitioner
    Greensteel SP with Concord Opp
    Dreamspitter
    Dragons Eye
    Rahkirs Ring
    Rahkirs Belt
    Mysterious Bauble
    Spell Storing Ring
    Twisted Tailsman
Thelanis - Active Toons -> Gyversix, Lootforge, Reyvhin, Darkmeat, Yukka, Raypac

An eardweller. Pretty much constantly. With +6 int, GSF:Enchantment and a 100% stacking spell dam clickie its a musthave.

Superior Potency is +50%, Superior Inferno/Glaciation(everything else but efficacy) is +75% and eardweller +100%. None of them stack with each other, highest one will be the one in effect. Only thing +100% is stacking with are enhancements and that's true for all spell power boosts.

Yep. Been trying to get one of these for longer than I care to admit. Couldn't tell you how many runs as it would be too depressing to keep count.

Almost thought about starting to farm it with my other characters and TRing them into a mage if they pull it. Might end up being faster leveling them and re-equipping them in caster gear with the luck my wizard is having with it. That's sad. Wish it was bound to account and not character.

I'm sorry, you are wrong here. Sup inf/glac, eff all have one in common: they do not stack with ANY item bonuses whatsoever. So for example an eardweller clickie stacks with red fens set bonus (which doesn't have 'this bonus is not stacking with any item bonuses' in text). Note that their stacking is additional not multiplicative.

So eardweller is indeed stacking and what you say is not true for all spell power boost, it is just true if you factor in sup inf/glac/eff type bonuses (which are not the only kind of bonus in the game; most numerous sure, most effective - really not).

Are you running the quests on hard (1/64 chance) or elite (1/32)? Also, farming with other toons are quite pointless: you cannot ransack (as the eardweller doesn't actually come from the chests), and your chances aren't bigger by the tiniest bit by having more party members.

I've tried normal red fens set bonus only with potency and there wasn't any stacking. I'm logging in right away to see if that set stacks with eardweller.

EDIT: Just logged in and tried firewalls with eardweller and with shaman's fury+eardweller. Identically same damage. Tried Wrath of Sora Kell too, no stacking.

EDIT2: Btw, eardweller has this in description "This effect stacks with other (non-Psionic) spell boosting item effects" and it sure doesn't. Superior clickies(everything but efficacy) say +50% but are +75% instead. Do not believe everything you read.

Red fens should not stack with potency, obviously.

I was running happily with stacking eardweller before tr (so fw average damage during two casts was nekkid<fens<dweller<dweller+fens). How many samples did you have? What were the results?

Also, cannot doublecheck now, I trd and only lvl12 atm.

Currently level 19. No lore, no potencies, max fire/cold enhancements. Maximize but no empower. Vale rats/dogs.

    Wall of Fire
    130-150 ticks with eardweller
    130-150 ticks with eardweller + shaman's fury

Killed only 5 groups. First two without shaman's fury.

Hm, I throw a bug report when I get to 18, and see where it goes. Thanks for the info!

    Always on elite.

I know it does not come from a chest, can't ransack, and all about my chances.

My point was that my wizard has NO luck. He never pulls anything of note. But my rogue on the other hand and for example pulls rare and great loot quite frequently.

I used to think that the notion of some characters pulling better loot than others due to some super secret thingy that happens at character creation was BS.

    But now I believe!
