Default Soldiers of Fortune - Canith

So many guilds to choose from, so how do you make the right decision? Well, with all of them touting that they are all family friendly, noob friendly, and just plain… friendly, it would seem that just about any guild would be as good as any other… I suppose it depends on what you want to get out of a guild, to understand which guild to apply to. Did I say apply to? Why, yes I did. Many guilds want you to apply and go through an extensive probationary period, or even to seek out sponsorship for admittance. Why? Well, they want to make sure there isn’t going to be any problems once you join their little fraternity; there are some very fragile egos out there, that don’t want to be challenged. They may also claim that they have been in guilds that have failed because there wasn’t a vetting process, but this, IMO only results in alienating some players. – It seems alienation is a good way to vet those who are not as experienced at the game as others.

What do the Soldiers of Fortune do differently than the others?

    • You are accepted as not only the player that you CURRENTLY are, but also the player that you WILL become
    • Officer selection is based on personality and willingness to help others – not a group of elitist friends – officers are elected by the player base and confirmed by the guild leader
    • We challenge the normal way of doing things – proven methods are good to ensure victory, but the unconventional methods prove to incite creativity and fun, as well as discovering new methods of attaining victory
    • We have a central theme of fortune hunters, while acknowledging the fact that we are, and always will be soldiers
    • We strive to be a community of players that help others – not just in-guild, but where ever we can make a difference
    • We strive to make the gaming experience more enjoyable for those who we interact with
    • We have a cool motto “For Gold and Glory”
    • We offer an alternative for other small guild leaders to form an alliance, rather than abandon their hard work at building their guilds to join ours

If you are interested in becoming a Solider of Fortune, visit our guild site and register (a get to know you exercise) at: http://sofcanith.guildlaunch.com/ or send a message to any of the toons listed at the bottom of my signature.
