Was trying to log in today, Sunday Dec 5th/10 @ 1pm EST and repeatedly got that error message.
As of a few moments ago I was able to log in finally.
Anyone else get this message or know why it might have happened?

It happens because there is a bug with the login server that Turbine won't/can't/doesn't know how to fix. It's been around forever, and no, the servers are not full. It doesn't help much when you're on the wrong end of it, but all you can do is to keep trying.

Hm, same here, several times in a row. What's the workaround for this bug? Reboot? Retry until it sticks?

I was also experiencing this at the same time. I have the connect to last server selected at the login, deselecting and going through the server selection screen seemed to resolve it for me.
