I was looking at another armor class fix sugestion thread, and I though maybe I could share what I was thinking the other day. Don't know if it has been sugested yet though, it if has just ignore the post.
I was thinking maybe it would be easy to code an scaling away miss value based on ac. Meaning, everyone escapes a hit when the attacker roll 1. maybe we could increase that value by 1 for each 10pts of armor class. meaning a 20ac rogue would be hit on 3+, and so on.
Since the highest possible would be around 100, with a lot of work, beeing hit in a 11+ would not be overpower, and lower values of ac would still make a diference in high lvl quests.
of course, asside from the aways miss value, the rest of the mechanic should be mantained. This fix might prob require some balancing to be viable also.
