    Default Monk capstone

im looking at the monk capstone with its +10 con and +1 passive ki regen up to your concentration.
Honesly it does seem to be worth taking at 20 even if i spam all my abilities i have way more ki than i need in fire stance anyways. If i run out of ki then i just wait 5 or so seconds and i even have enough ki for another tod if needed. At the moment i have getting +1ki regen from ninja spy anyways. Honeslty the monk Capstone seems very lackluster compared to the other class capstones. Would be nice if the capstone did something different depending on what stance you where in. As is its not realty worth taking imho

There is no way a monk has too much ki, unless you're hitting a auto-crit mob, or you're a fire stance monk with oremi AND capstone. And even with monk capstone, i find myself seeing my ki decrease when i do my standard rotation (tod -> earth 4 -> earth 3 -> fist of iron -> finisher). After 4-5 cycles (like against arreostrikos or any harder boss) the bar is depleted, and i have to slow down.

Well ki is basically a non issue and yes i have Oremi's set and i basicly sit in fire stance for the +Str
with capstone that would be +3 passive regen witch is almost a little overkill
from Oremi +1 Ninja Spay enhancement +1 capstone +1

unless i'm missing something, oremi's doesn't give you +1 passive ki generation, it gives you 1 ki generated per hit. this is quite different; 1 requires you to go find another enemy to kill, the other simply requires that you wait a bit.

So another 10 Concentration (raising your max starting ki), and another +1 passive ki generation (key word being passive, just sitting there twiddling your thumbs). For 2 AP. Can you really find reasons to NOT take this? Even with Oremi set. If it cost more AP I could understand, but for 2ap, what you are getting so far outweighs the options its almost amusing.

Absolutely THIS. I use the exact same rotations and i still can't always keep up on Ki.
It's not important how many people I've killed, It's important how i get along with the people that are still alive.

I have played a monk without a capstone and with(and now back to without since I TRd), and the capstone is worth it.

Now if they gave you more meditations as you lvled up. then I could see why you would think this. But even then, having to sit for 30 seconds and either fall behind or forcing everyone to wait for me, is not fun.

It really is the same with Wholeness of Body. It is a very nice move, and while I wish the cooldown was shorter sometimes when soloing, I NEVER use it in parties. Even if I sit down for it, the healer will heal me and then the party moves on.

Maybe you solo a lot though. . .
