A lot of us forum trolls revel in offering advice and information, some of which is obviously biased, but in most cases is far too much data for someone less familiar with the game to absorb. Don't let your forum experience ruin your in-game experience!

If you enjoyed that battlecleric of yours, play that. Come to the forums with questions about feats or spells or whatever, but stick with it until you decide you don't like it anymore, then come to forums and see if it is salvageable. Don't delete a character you're enjoy because someone on the forums told you to do so, and definitely don't delete a character because you're confused about where to go with it.

Everyone's first toon has some problems. Some people figure them out early, some late. Some press through the issues and continue playing the character, while others reroll with more knowledge and experience under their belt. Still, some others choose to Reincarnate the character rather than rerolling. Only you can decide which is the best course of action for you.

    Have fun!

    Thanks I will do that

I also was thinking of a pally tank, but people say its considered dead weight, which I don't want.

The cleric, Well I deleted her. Cause I am so confused on whats good whats not this is this isn't blah blah... I am starting to get a headache from reading debates, its not helping me figure out what way to go. I like the game but now from so many different things I don't know what to do what to choose or what to play.

Unfortunately I am working with 28pts I am stuck with it till I get 32pt and drow weather I like it or not. What should I do. I am so confused I just cant make up my mind now. My reason for a 28pt build is because Build is better then DDO's pre-set up junk.

I like the pally I started with but there hard to build with out 32pts or drow. Okay well What is possibly good to get the 32pts ,that'll survive?????
I liked the battle cleric but I don't know what build is good or not that wont be a total mess at the end.

Apparently nothing is that decent with out the 32pt build but I just need something that is solid that fights tough, heals and buffs, but that wont be dead weight to get me my points and drow but I don't know what way to go on a 28pt build its driving me nuts .

I went with battle cleric cause I like how it played so far. But I deleted her cause I'm to confused. I am going to make another one, again don't know what to go with.

Is there any success stories with a build? I like builds that people that have actually played there selves and were successful with it.

I am a girl trying to make a char to get my stuff unlocked.

I am sorry if I sound mean up there don't mean too lol Just blowing off steam cause my head was spinning and bout ready to burst.

I felt the same way as you did, i read the forums and thought i needed 32-pts not to be behind, and bought it with points. I'd intended to be mostly freemium, but that initial TP purchase kinda snowballed, and they had me. But you can make a very decent 28pt THF. Prolly go human and fighter for the extra feat, and get a carnifex before you roll it, asssuming you have a character that can hit Delera's. Sword of the Thirty is good choice for those w/o Delera's, available on the AH mostly, or if you're on Thelanis I'll hook you up.

EDIT: Of course, that assumes you want to hit things. Really, the easiest time you'll have as a 28pt-er is a healing cleric. Hit things with a mace and hold a shield when not healing, avoiding aggro of course. Don't skew your stats to be a 'battle-cleric,' since you'll do more damage with spells once you get blade barrier anyway. If you can't solo a given quest, summon some hirelings by putting up a LFM

Well if you do just Look up Grundal Alebane. I am on during the afternoon or nights, sometimes all night when I don't work as I am a 3rd shifter. Like I said, he is 6th level now (well actually 7th but haven't taken yet) but I can still outfit you with some gear and advice. Or my son is always asking me to make him another character so I could start a new one again if you needed help.

Hope you find what your looking for and shoot me that line if you make it over to Ghallanda.

The only thing I question about that build you posted is taking Quick Draw at level 10. Maybe somebody knows something I don't but it seems like a wasted feat to me. I'd think rearranging your feats just a tad so you can take Skill Focus:UMD would be better if you are going to be investing points into it. But that's just my 2cp worth.

My advice is admittedly about the longer route to avoiding confusion. A bit like ensuring you read the map, learn to use a compass and "break in" your walking boots before a long hike.

However it is good to not that others have recommended a Dwarf as a simple, starting build.

I did though. I also have my pc game controller set up to it. I have had experience with wow, perfect world, Dragon age, tales of a pirates life, fiesta, POTC online, EO, CO, and play station games like final fantasy 7-12, legend of the dragoons, chrono cross rpg games and stuff. Played this for a while on a pally. I can run walk jump swim well also jump and swing lol a weapon in this one I know how to use a compass lol.

I am going to research more, but for now I am trying the blitz and war priest I found, and going from there on trial and error see how they do and have fun with them till I can get my points and drow for my plan for a wicked character I have planned for it already.
I will do more research but my brain needs a rest from research at the moment. So I'll mess around with these 2 for a bit for fun and research more on the side when I feel up to it.

The reason I like weapon swingers is cause... I like it to help take frustrations out on monsters lol. I get server anxiety attacks, good way to unleash the anger is on a monster in a game.

I am on mostly all day , sometimes nights lol all night, depending on my sleep schedul lol which I need to go do now its 5:30am here lol

This isn't bad strategy. The more hands on things that you do the more things you'll be able to spot when you read up later, after all.

Me? I'm just off to read up on Bard song on DDO to ensure that I understand its translation from D&D3.5.

oooh, well I can read as I go along? Just last few days I been doing nothing but reading and my heads hurting from it is why I wanna brake from it. My brain feels like its swimming :-/ Im not just gonna go all the way and not read at all till the end. I do plan on reading as I go along. Just gonna start them go through like first and second town then read up more. It is also 5:30am I am tired and need sleep I haven't slept yet from being up reading through guides and forum.
I like to plan ahead but I like hands on learning too cause it helps me learn better. I've been taking to much reading in recently and just need a rest from it for like a few hours or so or day or so then I'll read more. I'm taking to much in all at once.. The other night I pulled a all nighter no sleep all day/night reading guides, forums, suggestions and builds. Level 3 is as far as I got so far because I stopped to read.

To much of a good thing can be bad sometimes and stressful on a person. My real story, Yes I duo with my bf, and like the game.

The reason I do things some ways different and want to read on my own pace, now were getting into my dark side. My mental issues I have. I have Sever anxiety, Manic Depression, ADHD, Post dramatic stress, and Bipolar. I didn't ask to be born this way. Not my fault. I hate it about me too. I am a walking stress filled time bomb pretty much lol. Easy to get a long with but can be a walking time bomb at times if a wrong words said to me or if i take something easily wrong. I get random panic attacks and I don't know why or what triggers them at times. This is like my escape from that and way of keeping myself calm is playing games or taking frustrations out on. Also for fun to be happy and not depressed all the time sometimes I was suicidal not no more though . I use games for aid to help with me learning to control my problems.

I read to much, take to much in like I have been doing recently on here I am going to lead my self right into an attack. Not good. This is why I keep repeating I need a rest from the reading for a little bit. Taking to much in need to stop it and reduce my reading before my head explodes. Have a little fun then get back into the reading but of course I don't plan on waiting to long to read more. I probably will be reading more tomorrow. I just need a short breather from it before I get my self worked up to reduce my stress level from trying to understand this and that.

My counselor is working with me and said to find something that helps keep you calm and happy, and I did, playing online games. The anxiety attacks I get are similar to a stroke. Last one I had everyone here thought I had a stroke but no it was classified as mild attack, it was nasty.

Games, this is one of the things I enjoy that is helping keep my mind at peace and not letting my mind dwell on things to get my anxiety level up. I am on meds but it don't help all the time. I want to understand this game and I will but at my own pace so I don't get my anxiety up for my own safety reasons.

Quickdraw is often questioned, but not only does makes you change weapons faster, but it also has an untyped bonus, of making action boost animation times less. So many people with fighters, or heavy splashes, relying on haste boost, take it because they have the feat, it's a fighter bonus feat, and it allows them to keep haste boost up with minimal animation time in between. This has been documented and proven. (there is a discussion about it on the original Blitz build thread) http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=264744

I read that through your link before and am gonna do the blitz anyways and just have fun with it . It looks like a wicked killer and thats what I want lol. I also made ur pally and gonna do a cleric too so I got some to switch around on. I like your builds and how detailed they are. I was getting activated with the lol debates now that I got some sleep lol I can clearly think now with out my brain storming and gonna do the bliz which I already started lol and the pally and the cleric so I get to mess with the 3 to switch around with. I am a premium player and got 4 characters unlocked to make.
