If you're rather new to DDO try to ignore most of the stuff on the forums. Find some build that looks fun, or feels fun, and go with it. Only come to the forums with questions that are important for advancing, and then only if you really need to.
A lot of us forum trolls revel in offering advice and information, some of which is obviously biased, but in most cases is far too much data for someone less familiar with the game to absorb. Don't let your forum experience ruin your in-game experience!
If you enjoyed that battlecleric of yours, play that. Come to the forums with questions about feats or spells or whatever, but stick with it until you decide you don't like it anymore, then come to forums and see if it is salvageable. Don't delete a character you're enjoy because someone on the forums told you to do so, and definitely don't delete a character because you're confused about where to go with it.
Everyone's first toon has some problems. Some people figure them out early, some late. Some press through the issues and continue playing the character, while others reroll with more knowledge and experience under their belt. Still, some others choose to Reincarnate the character rather than rerolling. Only you can decide which is the best course of action for you.
Have fun!
Thanks I will do that![]()
