    Default Modded Neverwinter nights monk

I own the game neverwinter nights and I want to see if anyone wants to try out a modded version of my monk. I don't have monk as I am f2p so I can't really do it myself, though someday I will have monk and I will play this character. btw its a pretty DPS based character, so don't expect AC to be very high.

According to the wiki, Deflect Arrows is broken. I would expect such an interesting feat to be kept up to date, but I could be wrong.

If you're going to use handwraps (which you should)... you'll want dex to be 15 so you can take the TWF feat line (TWF, ITWF, GTWF). Otherwise you're only doing a fraction of the damage you would be doing normally.

Cleave works differently in DDO than in NWN - here, it's simply a click-based frontal attack.

Mobility and Spring Attack are nigh useless; you will end up having more than enough of a BaB to hit your targets. Anything with super high ac is your garden variety epic mob, in which case you'll be standing still, regardless, to whittle down their obnoxious amounts of health.

If you're going all-out dps, you'll want improved critical bludgeon, as well as the two-weapon fighting line of feats.

Oh, and you'll want to max concentration to fuel your ki for touch of deaths. No need for Listen

The 15 DEX will allow you to get TWF. You will need to get another 2 DEX either by tomes or level ups, to get ITWF and GTWF which are key to dps. Here I have you taking a +1 Tome and +1 Level up.

The second and third toughness feats, are more of placeholders. Keeping them won't hurt your build, but many people would rather choose feats such as, luck of heroes, iron will, lightning reflexes and the such. However, Cleave and Great Cleave are terrible feats in DDO, their animation times are way too long, so you have a harder time sustaining your dps.

Your strength starts out low, and if you get 32pt build, put them here, but it will improve.

The 18 natural con and str, will allow you to take grandmaster of fire for the stance, and grandmaster of earth for strikes.

Stunning blow, dwarven tactics, strength and weighted handwraps will be nice, added with stunning blow and a wisdom score that, with some work, can get you a decent dc, could make you an insta-crit killing machine.

You can lose 10hp for 2concentration by switching Racial Toughness III and IV for Way of the Patient Tortoise III and IV, or other things such as Healing Amp III.

Max balance to stay standing, max concentration to retain Ki, almost max spot, to spot hidden mobs before they are hitting you, and one in tumble, so you can tumble.

And you will have good hp compared to most monks.

Anyway, others may be able to improve on this, but his will work better than what you currently have.

Keep in mind that the rule system for DDO and the way many things have been implemented work quite differently than in the paper & pencil version. Listen to the advice above, they are the voices of experience.

I don't see where they say it's broken. Deflect Arrow

The problem with it is there are two kinds of monks.

    1) The more common, monks with lower AC then mobs to-hit bonus (talking about endgame), and will get hit on anything but a 1. With the amount of arrows coming in at you, dodging 1 every 6 seconds is not that helpful.

    2) Monks with an extremely high AC and aren't getting hit by arrows, except those that roll a 20. Making it useless because you get hit so rarely, it's not worth the feat.

So I changed up the build, now you get concentration instead of listen. as I have never played a monk I didn't know concentration help keep ki. also I switched out a bunch of feats and got the TWF line, and to get those, I had to change up the ability scores. it looks like I may be getting monk soon, so I will be able to play this build.

It's in the 'starting a monk' page, which is the more likely place for someone wanting to know good monk feats to take would go than any specific feat page. http://ddowiki.com/page/Starting_a_Monk#Common_Feats

IIUC, the problem is not the feat; it's that most mobs' ranged attacks are treated as thrown weapons, even when they're clearly using bows.
