Yeah, when U9 hits, deathnips will likely be the only worthwhile picks to wield still.
I started this build myself because it looks awesome. I am having trouble with the enhancements tho.
I am assuming you just take whatever you want until you start getting the fighter levels and then start switching them around?
Yep, leveling up just take whatever makes sense, then swap as needed.

Just curious, why not oversized two weapon fighting? would that be a viable option for a past life ranger---instead of quick draw for example?
OTWF represents a negligible amount of BAB (+2/+1), and is therefore worth less then the quickdraw (half weapon change time, half haste boost activate time).
also, id probably go with pesh, thats just me. i mean, deathnips dont break dr at all (even that of devils and whatnot), and they are really difficult to get (unless you just trade ~ 8 mil for each?)
I am trying this build as soon as I reach lvl 20 with my ranger. My buffs will be missed though, but thats what guild ships, clerics, and bards are for!
Not sure if anyone is checking this thread often, but I have run into a possible bug/snag...or I could just be dumb.
Currently sitting on my TR using this build. I re-worked my enhancements, and for some reason, I can take AA +1 and get the force arrows, but the option to get +2 arrows and then the acid, and +3 ect, isn't popping up anymore.
I am sitting at 14th level, and had the option to take +3 arcane arrows just before I did a respec, but now it is no longer letting me advance past +1 arrows and force, despite how many APs I spend.
Any thoughts? Am I doing something that is preventing this line from advancing?
I have tried to respec again and figure out what the deal is, but no luck.

Dark-Star, why do you have the AA set from ToD listed as situationally?
It's a competence bonus, so it'll stack with Haste. It becomes better than the Shintao set for non-pure AAs after their shots average more than 40 damage.
I'd suggest wearing that normally, and then the Shintao if you have trouble hitting things.

It is a question of how much a player ranges vs. how much the player melees. This build is a range on manyshot build and the rest of the time melee. When it melees +2 damage from shintao is quite nice and obviously better then the arcane archer set which does not effect melee damage.

What stacks with what.. ok so the Tod set is +10% ranged alacrity. Then you have your haste spell and your Madstone haste boost. Then you have your Quiver of Alacrity because they really arent that hard to get. Then your Ranger capstone...Jorgmundals collar maybe..?...Fighter attack speed boost

There are enhancement boosts and competence boosts.
Enhancement boosts don't stack with each other, only the highest one counts. Same with competence.
Enhancement boosts include the Deepwood Sniper ToD set, Haste spell, Black Dragonscale, and Quiver. Competence boosts include the AA ToD set, the Ranger capstone, and the Fighter capstone.
Also with ranged, each boost only gives 50% of what it says.
Looks like a fun build. I'm going to try it out.

If you move some feats around though you can actually take the ranger one right when you hit level 6, and then reset the enhancements in time for the next elven tier at level 11. Until then the ranger ones fill in some earlier required ap's while you work toward the fighter levels and it gives you the pre two levels earlier.
Thanks for posting the build Dark this is the most fun that i have had leveling a TR. I didnt have pally past life so i took the quick draw which works incredible with the build and in the enhancements i changed the last strength out to get stunning blow build up and now that i am capped i can get my SB to 47 for the minute of power surge. It is definitely nice setting up my own crits. 8)
